SJBIT admissions are offered to 8 courses in the fields of computer science and engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering ad others. Candidates with a diploma can also apply for the SJBIT admissions to the BE course through lateral entry.

• Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT admission eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

SJBIT MBA Admission Process

SJBIT Ph.D Admissions 2025-26

SJBIT admissions are offered to 10 Ph.D courses in disciplines like Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering. SJBIT admissions to the Ph.D courses are available for full-time 3 years and part-time 5 years.

• Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT admission eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.

• Appear for Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test for Research (VTU-ETR).

• UGC-NET(including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/CAT/having M.Phil degree/full-time (special) candidates/faculty members selected under QIP/FIP are exempted from the entrance test.

• A merit list is prepared and shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview.

• A consolidated merit list will be prepared based on the scores of the interview (70% weightage) and the qualifying examination (30% weightage).

• After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their SJBIT admission.
