    College Infrastructure

The facilities and infrastructure available for our course or department were quickly accessible and available all the time. The canteen food was well maintained and hygienic. I have no idea about games or sports because we were not taken out to play, and I have no idea about the hostel as I wasn’t a hostel student.

    Academics

Teaching used to be dependent on the teachers, and the quality was good itself. Extracurricular activities often used to take place, but there were no industrial visits for our batch. Exams were quite easy and could be passed if studied one day before the exam.

    Placements

There were sixty students in our class, and among them, none got placed because we didn’t receive any placement opportunities due to corona. But yes, the previous batches and current batch students are getting placed, and that too in fewer numbers.

    College Infrastructure

All the infrastructure is amazing, and greenery is present all over the campus. There are small issues in the bathrooms, like no water sometimes, and that's the only thing I’ve faced. As my friends say, the Wi-Fi in the hostel is not good, with no network for any SIMs. However, the hostel food is awesome, and they even provide snacks daily.

    Academics

The teachers at SJBIT Kengeri, Bangalore, are extraordinary. Almost all the faculty members have a lot of experience in teaching, and most of them have received their doctorates. They also arrange parent-teacher meetings after every internal exam. It’s great to be in this college.

    Placements

In my college, more than 90% were placed two years ago, before 2024, but recently, due to the downfall of the software industry, it has decreased to 65%. However, by the time I complete my engineering and all eight semesters, I may see an amazing boom in the software industry.

    College Infrastructure

I can say that no other college has better infrastructure when compared to SJBIT. This college is known for its ambience and greenery, and many facilities are also available. There are good and spacious classrooms along with sports and games facilities.

    Academics

I feel that SJBIT can recruit more good and well-educated teachers. We can rate them a 3.5 out of 5. The pass percentage at SJBIT is around 80 to 85 every year, and it is easy to pass semester exams as well. Teachers provide notes and PPTs after each topic is covered.

    Placements

Placements during the year 2023 were very difficult due to the recession. However, SJBIT was able to bring in many good companies like Mercedes Benz, Brillio, Streebo, Verifone, and many more. The highest package was around 10.34 LPA from IG Infotech and Benz as well.

    College Infrastructure

The campus infrastructure is average. Classrooms are good and spacious. Labs have many systems to accommodate any number of students but some of them do not have the Wi-Fi facility. The library is very good and spacious with many books. We can also borrow books for 15 days. Timings are from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM Monday to Saturday. The hostel is close to excellent and better than DSCE, MSRIT, and RVCE hostels. They are very well-maintained with 2 and 3-sharing rooms. Its closing time is 9 PM with not many restrictions. The mess food is above average with both North and South Indian food.

    Academics

Professors are average but some are very well-trained. The teaching quality is average and is not very helpful. The course curriculum followed is kind of outdated, traditional, and not helpful. Semester exams are not difficult and we can easily score well. We have 3 internal assessments and then the end-semester exams. The pass percentage is close to 95% for the autonomous batch.

    Placements

Placements percentage is close to average and about 70% of students placed each year. The highest package is 23 LPA which is offered in 2021 and that too off-campus. The average package is 4 LPA. Some companies have a bond. Not many good companies visit here and most service-based companies visit the college for placements. Even some companies pose irrelevant restrictions to hiring students like 9 or above CGPA or 90% in 10th & PUC. There are not many internship opportunities from the college side, and most are off-campus. Companies for internships are small and service-based. It might even charge for that.

    College Infrastructure

Wi-Fi is available in the library, hostel, and also in the labs. You get to see the best infrastructure on our campus, and the campus is full of greenery. The hostels are very clean, and they provide hygienic food. As the BGS Hospital is nearby, it's very beneficial for students in case of any emergency, and they even provide consultations for our college students at the hospital. Our college encourages sports, and they conduct inter-college sports competitions.

    Academics

The teachers are very helpful, and they have very good knowledge and a strong hold on the subject, as they have completed their Masters and most of them are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is fantastic. They plan everything properly and follow a proper curriculum. As I'm in the first batch of autonomous exams, they are a bit tougher than the VTU exams, but the teaching standards are also high. The pass percentage is 96.

    Placements

About 80% of the students get placed in our college (from the CSE branch). The highest package was 26 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, Walmart, Justdial, and Wipro. Many companies that are top recruiters provide internships for 70% of the students.

Have a question related to SJBIT Bangalore ?

    Hello,

SJBIT usually has an edge over GAT, especially if you're aiming for internships, coding competitions, and core IT roles. So if your priority is placements and a stronger professional ecosystem, SJBIT is the better choice. SJBIT will give you a better exposure. And even if you compare the placement packages, SJBIT will seem like a better choice.

Hope this helps. All the best!

which is better, cmrit or sjbit

    Hello Mohan!

Both the institutions have their strengths in comparison between CMRIT and SJBIT. Nevertheless, some differences may come handy below while finalizing your decision:

    Placements

    • SJBIT had a consistent placement record with top companies for recruiting students including Capgemini, Infosys, and TCS. Average packages go around 3.5 to 4 LPA for the students who would graduate after an undergraduate course. The placement percentage of this institution is about 69.34%.
    • CMRIT: The placement records for students especially in computer science and IT are also good. The companies which are majorly visiting the college are Amazon, Deloitte, and Infosys etc. Though the average package was around 4 LPA, some students even managed to fetch higher packages.

    Infrastructure and Facilities:

Both the colleges have very good infrastructures with labs, libraries, and sports facilities. Still, SJBIT has a slightly larger campus space of 13 acres and does not have a few modern amenities like a Wi-Fi-enabled campus. CMRIT is located in one of the prime locations in Bangalore, which could offer much better networking and internship opportunities.

    Accreditation:

    • SJBIT holds an A+ NAAC accreditation and has been performing well in its academic standards.
    • CMRIT is equally accredited with good academic results but may have a slightly smaller campus.

    Student Reviews and Faculty:

Both colleges receive good reviews about the faculty and quality education but CMRIT is quite famous for its industry connections because of its location.

If placements and campus infrastructures are valued, then SJBIT would suit their needs. But if location as well as networking opportunities are the only criteria then, CMRIT would have more benefits since it is located in Bangalore.

what is the kcet code in sjb institute of technology

    hello student

I think you have some misunderstanding. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is an entrance test and not a code assigned to colleges.

How to Use Your KCET Rank for SJBIT Admission

    1. Appear for KCET: Take the exam and obtain your rank.
    2. Check SJBIT Cutoffs: After the results, SJBIT releases cutoff ranks for different courses and categories.
    3. Compare Your Rank: If your rank is equal to or below the cutoff for your desired course, you're eligible for admission.
    4. Counseling Process: Participate in the KCET counseling process to secure a seat in SJBIT.

I hope you got some help thanks
