SJBIT Admission Process 2021
SJB Institute of Technology offers admission to many undergraduate (BE), postgraduate (M.Tech, MBA) and doctoral (Ph.D) courses. Admission to BE course is done through CET examination conducted by the Karnataka Government while for postgraduate courses admission will be done through GATE/PGCET/KMAT/CMAT examinations. The detailed admission processes are given below:
For BE:
- 45% of the seats are allotted through Karnataka Government Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Seats will be allotted by KEA based on merit cum reservation for SC/ST/OBC.
- 30% of the seats will be allotted by COMED-K Cell based on merit in the COMED-K Exam.
- 25% of the seats will be filled under Management Quota as per merit among the applicants.
- Additional 5% of the seats are allotted under the Supernumerary Quota through KEA. Seats will be allotted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) based on merit and income.
- Candidates have to apply online on the website of SJBIT.
- Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
For M.Tech:
- 80% of the seats are allotted through Karnataka Govt. PG Common Entrance Test/GATE. Seats will be allotted by KEA based on merit cum reservation for SC/ST/OBC.
- 20% of the seats will be allotted under Management Quota as per merit among the applicants.
- Candidates have to apply online on the website of SJBIT.
- Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
For MBA:
- 50% of the students are admitted under government quota. This admission is done by the Government of Karnataka through PGCET.
- Remaining 50% of the seats are allotted under management quota. Admission to seats under management quota is made on the basis of an entrance test conducted by institution/K-MAT/C-MAT etc.
- Candidates have to apply online on the website of SJBIT.
- Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
For PhD:
- Candidates have to apply online on the website of SJBIT.
- Candidates will have to appear for a University Entrance Test and Interview.
- Admission will be given based on the merit in the University Entrance Test and Interview.
