About IVRI Bareilly
Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar was established in 1889. IVRI is one of the research institutions dedicated to livestock research and development of the region and an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institution. The Institute has been conferred the status of Deemed to be University with effect from 1983. IVRI awards degrees to master and doctoral programmes in more than 20 disciplines of veterinary and animal sciences, livestock products technology, basic sciences and extension education. The institute offers diploma courses in veterinary preventive medicine, animal husbandry, veterinary biological products, animal reproduction, poultry husbandry, medicine and surgery, zoo and wild animal health care and management, meat and meat products technology. The institute undertakes basic, advanced and applied research through 98 externally funded projects. The institute also addresses the international research projects on animal health and production systems.
Location: The Institute which is spread over an area of 440.50 acres and located at a distance of 258 km from New Delhi. It is about 8 km from Bareilly Junction and 6 km from Roadways Bus Depot. Bareilly Airport is about 8 km away from the IVRI Izatnagar.

IVRI Bareilly Admissions
Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar conducts undergraduate, postgraduate courses. The undergraduate courses include BVSc and AH and postgraduate courses include MVSc. Admissions to the undergraduate courses are offered through the entrance test conducted by Veterinary Council of India. To get an admission to MVSc, candidates have to appear for the competitive examination conducted by the education division of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. On the basis of merit of the entrance exam, ICAR conducts the counselling. Based on the counselling ICAR finalises the students for Post-Graduate degree programme(MVSc) at IVRI in 22 disciplines. IVRI offers doctoral programmes in 19 various discipline and admission to the PhD courses are through the all India level entrance examination conducted by the IVRI. IVRI also offers National Diploma Courses for 10 months duration, which are commensurate with the ever-changing canvas of the livestock industry and animal husbandry in the country. what is the cut off marks and rank through icar exam for getting into mvsc at ivri ,izatnagar

NTA is conducting ICAR AIEEA UG 2020. So far, the examination has been moderate in the level of difficulty but exerts say it was tougher than NEET. Candidates scoring 50% – 40% will have good chances of securing a seat in ICAR colleges. The cutoff marks are prepared after the results are announced. Cutoff marks are decided based on the number of candidates appearing the exam and the total number of seats available .I'll list the cutoff marks category wise :
- General - Your score must be around 450 and rank is 400.
- OBC - For OBC , the mark is 430 and rank must be 680.
- SC - score is 365 and the rank is 2550 .
- ST - score is 310 and rank is 4550.

no you cannot get admission in IVRI through NEET. In IVRI admission for M.V.Sc is done on the basis of all india competetive examination conducted by educational division, indian council of agricultural research in new delhi. all the students seeking for admisiion in M.V.Sc should appear in written examination. however last date of application in 2019 was April 10th nad exam was conducted on May 9th of 2019. you missed your chance for this option but don't be disheartened there are various other career option availale for you in biology stream. do consult for further help.

How to get admission in Bvsc in IVRI in 2019 ?

In order to take admission in BVSc and AH course offered by IVRI, Izatnagar this year you need to appear in NEET. In NEET, you will need to get good marks and make it the first counseling list of Veterinary Council of India. Then, you can attend the counseling and choose IVRI for admission.

Qualified medical officers look after the health of the students. The Institute dispensary is located within the campus. The medical officers reside at the Institute campus and are available round the clock. Medical services are provided to students at the Institute’s dispensary.
The National Library of Veterinary Sciences at IVRI has a collection of more than 2,50,000 highly specialized reading material in the form of books, journals, monographs, theses, reference works published data, bulletins, reviews, advances, reports, reprints, micro-documents etc. The library is subscribing about 125 foreign journals and about 103 Indian journals each year. Facilities for information, access and retrieval from CD-ROM databases in the multi-user environment is provided using CD-Mirror Hybrid Server on nominal charges. Library has been using KOHA V.3.8 software for automation of library activities. All the PhD theses available in the library have been digitized in PDF form and are available for use in library premises. Library provides E-mail & Internet facilities to its users at 24 terminals during all working hours and days. Three reading sections of the library are air-conditioned. Digital Video Recording based Close Circuit TV system with 22 cameras is being used in the various sections of the library for electronic surveillance. Photocopy facility is also made available in the library at nominal charges.
The institute encourages extra-curricular activities outside the class-room that enrich cultural, physical and social life of students. Spacious play grounds are provided in the students’ hostels and necessary facilities exist for outdoor games like cricket, hockey, volley ball, badminton and various other athletic events. There are facilities also for indoor games in each hostel. There is a Student Sports Fund to which every student subscribes a sum of Rs. 200/- at the beginning of each academic year.
