Among the full-time programmes, the 5-year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) programme has acquired an enviable reputation, especially since admissions to the same are conducted through the highly competitive Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Every year, the institution welcomes a group of very bright students who have to navigate a challenging yet engaging curriculum that helps them to acquire knowledge while also honing their research, writing and public speaking skills. The undergraduate students are required to accumulate credits by pursuing the mandatory courses prescribed by the Bar Council of India (BCI), elective courses and seminar courses. The wide range of elective and seminar courses gives students a lot of flexibility in choosing subjects. This allows them to deepen their learning in certain areas while also benefiting from the ongoing research activities of faculty members. The foundational courses in History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and English offered during the first two years nudge students in the direction of interdisciplinary courses in the later years.

Best law college

Batch of 2006 | BA LLB Hons
The college has all the infrastructure required. The college already has tied up with the leading law firms in India and outside India. College life is so enjoyable because of the endless opportunities that are being provided. I am still in my starting years at college so I do not have a pre-placement offer as of yet. Hostels have table tennis tables, a tv, volleyball, snooker and pool tables. All the professors are exceptional at this college! The student crowd is diverse with people from everywhere coming to this college. The college may be a little expensive but they do give scholarships to students who can't afford it.

NALSAR University is one of India's first law schools. The campus covers a large area of land and is beautiful and serene. The Academic block is very well designed to accommodate the classrooms, administrative offices, faculty rooms and seminar rooms and etc. There is a conference hall that can accommodate a large number of students and it has excellent video conference facilities. The University has a huge auditorium which hosts all the important events of the University. The administration invests in the maintenance of the hostels and the other buildings quite frequently to keep it in a good shape. The University offers a large number of courses in the form of electives and seminars and this gives the students enough scope to pursue the course they are interested in. These courses are conducted by both in-house and visiting faculties over the entire semester. The University also has a number of reputed journals which has both students, faculties and other scholars in the editorial board. The University has a Policy Lecture Group which hosts various people from different fields like judges, academicians, senior advocates, journalists, etc. who come down to the University for discussions and to deliver lectures. There is an active student body which has different committees looking into different issues of the college. This student body consists of elected members from each batch and they work as student representation to the administration. This way the students learn to elect judiciously and also sort out their own issues. There is always some form of activity happening in the campus to keep the college life vibrant. NALSAR hosts one of the best debate tournament called the NALSAR IV which has very active participation from colleges from all over the country. Also the Justice B.R.Sawhney memorial Moot Court Competition is conducted every year which witnesses participation from various law schools from all over the country. Other than that NALSAR also hosts quiz fests, literary fest and other such tournaments which witnesses huge turn outs from all over the country. There are year round festivals and activities within the campus where the students participate as well as organise for fun and to display their skills. The sports committee of NALSAR also organises various events all round the year to keep the students involved in sporting activities. Movie screening takes place on many weekends for students to enjoy themselves. The hostels are well maintained and the campus has central Wifi connection. The library of NALSAR has a very good collection of books and journals of all fields of law. The library books serves as a very useful source for the students in their academic preparation. There is bus service from the University to the city and back so that the location being away from the city does not bother the students. The moot teams representing the University has done very well in both national and international moot court competitions over the years. The University has also seen good placement over the years and the hard-work of the students and the University is the reason for the same. Top national and international firms have come to recruit students and offer them internships. There is a very active student run recruitment and internship coordination committee for this purpose. The University like any other University has its own set of difficulties but they are negligible. Overall the NALSAR University has always shown excellence for a long time and there is no turning back.

This is what NALSAR is all about...

Well, to answer the question whether how good or bad NALSAR is, I'll list down the following points. By the end, they must be sufficient to answer the query which might be running in your head. 1. Infrastructure: The Classrooms are big, well ventilated with greenery all around. Seriously, the entire campus is so green and well maintained that if you don't have the worry of studying Law for FIVE years, you'll feel as if you are in a five-star resort. Apart from this, we have a pretty well-stocked library which is always updated according to the demand of students. One problem which a couple of people might complain about is the absence of air conditioner in the classrooms. But I don't think that is something significant enough as most of the time we have lovely weather. 2. Is something missing at NALSAR? There are one essential which is missing most of the time and also when presently is not up to the mark. This one thing is the availability of a good physician. We have ambulance service, full time on campus nurse. But what we lack is a well-qualified physician. This issue turns more significant when we consider the fact that NALSAR is Wayyy.....(really a lot) far away from the city. Nearest hospital which a person can approach in the case of emergency is also at least 20 KM away. 3. Is my college happening - Oh yes it is.... We conduct India's biggest and one of the oldest British Parliamentary debate. Other than that, NALSAR organises multiple other events such as Interrobang (the quiz fest), Lit fest and many other things are always happening. Other than we all the year round we have regional fest such as Awadh Magadh, Rajasthani fest and much more where people represent their culture and serve awesome food and cheer us up with their awesome performances. And finally, we have our Intra College fest - 'Carpe Diem'. It is a cocktail of fun in which entire college participates. 4. Academics and Placement- Something which almost everyone considers serious and can't accept any compromise. As most of the people know, the placement in NALSAR is one of the USP with which everyone gets attracted to the college. The placement percentage is really high compared to other colleges. With regard to academics, our college has good standards. Students qualify for Rhodes Scholarship. Also, teams perform well in both international and National level Moots. The above pointers would help a person in understanding how NALSAR is.

Our college has a state of the art library, auditorium, and a multitude of conference halls used by frequent guest speakers. Our college has an excellent set of alumnus and constantly exposes us to the best legal minds of the country by inviting them for speaking at our college at least once a month. The college itself boasts of a fantastic curriculum, which is flexible enough for exploring our interests.
