NID Bhopal was established in 2019 under the aegis of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The campus of the institute spreads over an area of 30 acres of land. NID Bhopal has also been conferred the status of the Institute of National Importance by the National Institute of Design (Amendment) Act, 2019. Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses- To avail the scholarship, candidates should have minimum 50% marks in the previous final examination. Annual family income should also be up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs. Rs. 20,000 per annum is awarded under this scheme.
The placement cell of the institute provides placement assistance, placement training, career counselling and internship assistance to the students. Recruiters visit the campus for the NID Bhopal placement drive. They conduct pre-placement talks to brief about the job prospects. The NID Bhopal placement cell makes all necessary arrangements on the placement day for the smooth conduct of the final recruitment process. After the selection of the candidates, they are handed the offer letters through the placement cell.
