NID Bhopal Admission Details: Eligibility, Dates, Application, Fees

NID Bhopal offers admission to the undergraduate programme. Meeting the eligibility criteria is the first step of NID Bhopal admission process. For admission to the B.Des programme, candidates have to appear for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT). DAT is conducted in two phases: DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. For NID Bhopal admission to the B.Des programme, candidates have to qualify both the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Candidates must meet the cutoff in order to qualify the entrance tests. After DAT Mains, a final merit list is drawn based on the sum total of the weighted scores obtained by the candidates in DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Qualified candidates have to register for NID DAT counselling for seat allotment. According to the National Institute of Design admission criteria, seats are allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit list, category of the candidates and availability of seats.

B.Des is a four-year full-time undergraduate programme offered by NID Bhopal. The programme is offered in the following streams: communication design, industrial design and textile and apparel design.

• First, meet NID Bhopal eligibility criteria.

• Second, fill in the National Institute of Design Bhopal application form.

• Third, appear for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims.

• After the declaration of the result, a merit list is prepared.

• Fourth, shortlisted candidates have to appear for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains.

• Fifth, release of the final merit list based on the sum total of the weighted scores obtained by the candidates in DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

• Sixth, candidates have to meet the cutoff.

• Seventh, candidates meeting the cutoff have to appear for NID DAT counselling and give preference to NID Bhopal.

• Eight, seats are allotted to the candidates at NID Ahmedabad on the basis of merit list, category of the candidates and availability of seats. 

• Finally, for NID Bhopal admission, selected candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.
