Government Sanskrit College, Thiruvananthapuram, is the oldest institution for teaching the language as well as propagating knowledge about it. As the affiliated college of the University of Kerala, this college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in almost every dimension of Sanskrit studies. MA Sanskrit Programs:
The college offers MA Sanskrit programs in Nyaya, Sahitya, Vedanta, Vyakarana, and Jyotisha. Most of these programs have an approved intake of 5 students, except MA Sanskrit Jyotisha, which has an approved intake of 15 students. M.Phil Sanskrit:
