    DU Delhi Admission Process

    Delhi University offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. University of Delhi admissions 2026 to undergraduate courses are based on the CUET UG exam and are done through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Delhi University admission to PG courses is offered based on the CUET PG exam. Check the key points below about DU admissions.

    • Admissions at DU are offered based on performance in the entrance exam.
    • DU Admission Criteria: CUET-UG and CUET-PG scores are entrance exams accepted for UG and PG programmes, followed by CSAS counselling. 
    • Students must fill out the Delhi University application form 2026 for the BA/ BA LLB Hons programme by May 18, 2026. 
    • CUET-UG exam 2026 will be conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026.

    For DU Delhi admission to PhD programmes, candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance test and personal interview round. As per the Delhi University PG admission criteria, 50% of the total seats are filled based on the merit of the qualifying exam and the remaining seats are filled based on rank in the entrance test.     How to Get Admissions in DU?

    Students can apply for DU admissions by filling out the application form on the Delhi University official website. Check the step-wise University of Delhi application process below.  

    Delhi University Registrations 2026

    Students willing to take admissions can submit the DU 2026 counselling registration form through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Delhi University will activate the DU 2026 registration link in online mode. Visit the official admission portal to register for the counselling through the DU CSAS admission portal 2026. Then use DU UG login details and after signing up, enter all the academic and personal details.

    Delhi University CSAS Portal 2026

    The admission portal of Delhi University is called the DU CSAS portal. It is used to fill out Delhi University admission forms for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Common Seat Allocation System, or CSAS, involves three registration phases: Applying to CSAS 2026, choosing the programmes, and seat allocation. Students can find the DU CSAS 2026 portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in.

    DU CSAS 2026 Choice Filling 

    Preference filling for DU CSAS 2026 will be conducted online. Candidates can fill their preferences for the programme and college till the last date of the preference window. Students must submit their preferences before the DU choice-filling last date.  After the CUET UG 2026 results are announced, applicants can select their preferred colleges and programmes. The DU CSAS 2026 choice filling process starts once the DU admission form for 2026 is submitted, and candidates can finalise their preferences after the CUET results are declared.

    DU UG Admission Process 2026

    • For DU admission to undergraduate programmes, candidates have to meet the Delhi University eligibility criteria.

    • Next, eligible candidates need to register and appear for the CUET UG conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

    • Following that, the CUET result is declared and it carries the candidate’s score in the entrance exam and its qualifying status. 

    • The CUET merit list is prepared based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance test.

    • The university then releases the CUET cutoff after the completion of the counselling registration process.

    • The shortlisted candidates have to participate in the CUET counselling process online.

    • Based on the choices filled by the candidates, the admission lists of CUET are released for the allocation of the seats.

    • Further, candidates are required to get all their documents verified and pay the DU admission fees.

    DU Merit List 2026

    Delhi University will release the merit list in online mode. The university releases DU 2026 merit list based on the CUET exam result. Applicants can check the DU UG merit list 2026 by using their login credentials on the official website. Candidates whose names appear in the DU merit list are eligible to participate further in DU Admission 2026. 

    DU Seat Allotment 2026

    Delhi University will announce the DU 2026 seat allotment online. After a seat is approved through the DU allotment process, candidates must pay the admission fee to confirm their admission at the university. Applicants need to visit the official DU CSAS website and log in using their application number and password. After logging in, they must accept the provisionally allotted seat. If a candidate does not take any action regarding the allotted seat, the university will cancel the provisional allotment, and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in the following admission rounds.

    Delhi University BTech Admissions 2026

    For the academic year 2025-26, admission to the programmes of B.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering), B.Tech. (Electronics and Communication Engineering), and B.Tech. (Electrical Engineering) of UoD will be done on the basis of JEE Main scores only. Check the University of Delhi BTech selection process below,

    DU PG Admission Process 2026

    • First, candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria for Delhi University PG admission.

    • Then, eligible candidates have to register and appear for the Central University Entrance Test for PG (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. 

    • The University of Delhi will release the merit lists of CUET in online mode.

    • Candidates whose names have appeared on the merit list of CUET PG are qualified for further rounds of admission. 

    • Candidates who meet the requisite cutoff of CUET PG have to participate in the counselling of CUET PG.

    • Later, candidates have to get their documents verified and pay the DU admission fees within a stipulated time period.

    The university offers a PhD courses under its various faculties and departments in full-time mode. Students interested in admission to the PhD courses must fulfil the eligibility criteria and check the DU seat intake.

    • Students must have secured 55% marks in post-graduation and clear the PhD entrance test conducted by the University. 

    • After the declaration of results, the merit list is released based on the marks obtained by candidates in the entrance examination. 

    • Based on the merit list, candidates are called for interviews or the presentation of a synopsis.

    • Further, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination and interview.

    • At last, candidates need to get the documents verified, followed by the payment of admission fees to complete the Delhi University admission process.

    What Are the New Changes in DU Admissions 2026?

    • University of Delhi will provide 30% extra admissions to SC and ST candidates. 

    • If two students score similar marks in the CUET DU admission test, preference will be given to the Class 12th marks.

    • It will be a kind of equal opportunity for all students who wish to seek DU admissions across Delhi University colleges.

    • Delhi University will open the upgradation window and mid-entry facility for the candidates.

    Delhi University Seats and Admission Channels

    Admission to Delhi University and its affiliated colleges is conducted exclusively through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Candidates must take at least one language test from either Section 1A or Section 1B. For admission to the BA Programme, candidates also have the option to take the General Test.

    The previous “best of four” marks system has been replaced by CUET 2025 scores for undergraduate admissions at Delhi University. Approximately 70,000 UG seats will be available for admission in 2025, though this figure may vary slightly due to annual revisions. Additionally, around 3,291 seats under the ECA (Extracurricular Activities) and Sports categories will be offered as an alternative admission route for candidates with exceptional achievements in these areas across DU colleges.

    Documents Required for DU Admissions

    • Class 10 board examination certificate and mark sheet

    • Class 10+2 mark sheet and provisional certificate/original certificate

    • Entrance exam scorecard

    • Degree certificate and marksheet of all semesters and the qualifying examination

    • Category certificate (if applicable)

    • Medical certificate (for PwD candidates)

    • Photocopies of the original documents

    • Recent character certificate

    • SC/ST/PwD/CW/KM certificate (if any)

    • OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate (if any)

    • Transfer certificate/migration certificate

    • At least two passport-size self-attested photographs

    Note: Candidates must submit the above documents for verification in order to confirm the seats at the University of Delhi. Selected students must pay the University of Delhi admission fees.

    The academic environment of the college is good. The faculty member are knowledgeable and supportive, especially in core subjects of Electronics. The cirriculum is updated as per the university of Delhi guidelines and focuses om both theory and practical learning . Internal assessment and assignments help in continuous evaluation. However, sometimes the teaching pace can vary depending pace an vary depending on the faculty. overall , the academics provide a strong foundation for further studies.
