B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): At Guru Gobind Singh College of Education, B.Ed follows a centralised admission policy. This course is a complete full-time one for two years and aims to get graduates trained as the most effective teachers at the secondary and senior secondary levels. The merit-based admission process sets aside the adopted criteria to select the best candidates for the course. A potential student must have graduated in any discipline from any university to be eligible for the B.Ed programme, otherwise no further admission will be granted.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): Even the D.El.Ed admission method is centralised and merit based. This two-year diploma course is for preparing teachers at the elementary level. Of this 50 student intake capacity, the college has approved 50 to this programme. Candidates may apply for a D.El.Ed course after completing their 10+2 or equivalent examination via a recognized board.
