Khalsa College of Education is situated at Amritsar and is a post–graduate college that was set up in year 1954 to build future of education. This co-educational college is situated in Amritsar, Punjab,India.The College is NAAC accredited and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located on 8.75 acres of land, the college has six different teaching programmes in education for overall enrolment of 469 students. The institution employs 60 highly qualified teaching personnel and has a favourable student/faculty ratio which guarantees every student quality teachers.
Khalsa College of Education has several facilities like effective learning, skill development among others. This rich and stocked library contains over 26000 volumes that include text books, encyclopedias, research journals and periodicals. Some of the modern computer laboratories with good audio visual facilities satisfy modern day teaching needs. To meet the physical fitness of the students and recreations, the campus has provided the resources such as gym, short courts for sporting activities, and even a swimming pool. It also provides hostel facilities for students of both sexes separated in gender, with facilities and amenities and separate mess for hostelders providing hygienically prepared healthy meals.
Khalsa College of Education gives student’s wide scope of courses in the area of education management; it also offer full time courses at the u.g and p.g levels. This institution offers six different degrees which include B.Ed, M.Ed, B.Ed–M.Ed, B.A-B.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed and PGDCA. Admission to B.Sc agriculture takes place by directly on the basis of class 12 marks or entrance test or on the basis of both. It depends on thw institutions where you want to take admission. However Most of the institutions take admission on the basis of entrance test. The entrance test may be specific to the Institute, college or university . Or it may be on National level.
