24 MonthsDiploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time diploma programme offered by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Chandigarh, and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate should have passed graduation with a minimum 50% marks in the case of the general category and 45% marks in the case of SC/ST /OBC/BC and physically handicapped candidates from a recognised institution. No candidate with reappear in the qualifying examination shall be eligible for admission.
• Candidate must have passed Punjabi upto 10th standard.
• To ensure high quality standards, any candidate who has not passed in the subjects -Science, English, Punjabi, Social Studies, Mathematics, Hindi in class 10th examination shall not be eligible for admission to D.El.Ed. course.
Admission Details
Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of merit in the entrance test. The minimum marks to qualify this entrance test will be 50% in aggregate and 5% relaxation to qualify entrance test will be given to the reserved categories as per guidelines of the Government of Punjab As per the policy, 60% of the seats in the private institutions will be filled based on the joint merit through centralized online counselling, and the remaining 40% of seats of management quota will be filled by the concerned institution that is subjected to fulfil the minimum academic qualification.
