Himalaya Institute of Education, Rampur Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Government of State/UT Administration and the target University rules regarding merit basis for admission in the Institute. In selecting and admitting candidates with the highest potential in the area of education, the Institute has decided to take into consideration only the qualifying examination performance and/or performance in the relevant entrance test. Thus, the two major programs which will be run by the Institute shall be B.Ed. and D.EI.Ed. programs, with each of them having 100 seats as their intake capacity.

Application Process

1. Eligibility Check: Candidates must confirm their eligibility under all criteria for B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. programs.

2. Notification: Admission advertisement and dates are published on the institute website.

3. Application Form: Forms can either be filled online or collected from the admission office.

4. Document Submission: In this step, submission of the required documents has to be done (mark sheets, ID proof, passport-size photos, and any other documents if needed).

5. Entrance Examination: Entrance examinations should be attended by the applicants as specified by the authorities.

6. Merit List: Candidates are chosen based on merit in academic ranking and/or results of entrance examination.

7. Counseling and Seat Allocation: The shortlisted candidates will be sent for the counseling where the allotment of seats will be done.

8. Fee Payment: Admission fee must be paid by the admitted candidates to confirm their seats.

9. Document Verification: Originals for all the documents above would be verified at the time of admission.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
The B.Ed. course is a two-year programme for training teachers for senior secondary and secondary levels. Admission shall be merit-based according to public and university regulations based on qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination scores. Intake capacity: 100 seats.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education)
The D.El.Ed. prepares candidates to teach in elementary schools. Admissions are on a merit basis depending on the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination performance as per the procedures set by the concerned authorities. Intake capacity: 100 seats.
