The Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society (CBES) established the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology Hyderabad, in 1997. Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology is an autonomous institute affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The MGIT Hyderabad campus covers over 30 acres of land and has a built-up area of 2,50,787 square feet. The institute has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade. The institute is ISO certified and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
