Well, I am currently a 2nd-year student from the Mechanical Engineering branch in MGIT. The placements here for this particular branch are decent. I mean, if you are a hardworking student, you will definitely get a placement. Usually, companies like Mahindra, JSW Steel, Toshiba, and Hyundai come for placements. There are also many other companies, but these are a few top companies. The staff here are also good.
In our batch (2021–25), around 60% of students get placed. Big IT sector companies like TCS, Infosys, Google, Microsoft, and Azure visit the college for recruitment. Still, there are 2 months left for other students to get recruited. Our ECE department, companies like BEL, BDL, and some other core companies also come for campus recruitment.
The average package offered to students is around 6 LPA. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, MEIL, L&T, and Teach Mahindra. With a BCE rank of 15112 in TS EAPCET, it is quite difficult to get CSE, CSM, or CSD in G. Narayanamma Institute (GNITS) in the second phase.
GNITS is a top college and these branches are in high demand. Usually, students with much better ranks get admission there.
You can still try in the second phase, but chances are very low . It's better to keep backup options ready.
