24 MonthsMaster of Science (M.Sc) in Psychiatric Nursing is a two-year full-time program that is the postgraduate level in the nursing course offered by Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate shall be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNC).
- The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of a regular degree course in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks, in an institution that is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
- Minimum 1 year of experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing, 1 year of compulsory Nursing Service/Internship after successful completion of 4-year B.Sc Nursing can be considered as experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience prior to or after regular Basic B.Sc Nursing.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
- Relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given as per State Govt. norms.
Admission Details
The 50% of Got. Seats are filled on the merit of the Entrance examination held by the State Govt, University or Competent authority and 50% of the Management seats are filled with the merit of B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and written Entrance Examination and Interview conducted by the college.
