Matushri Pushpaben Vinubhai Valia College of Commerce (MPVVCC), Mumbai, has been imparting quality education in commerce subjects among the top institutions of the country. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and has been recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and adopts a merit-based admission process for specific undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
In general, MPVVCC admission takes place after the publication of results of the 12th standard, with the option for postgraduate courses to proceed past the announcement of graduation results. It has six courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, specialised according to the different fields of commerce as well as management.

For undergraduate admissions, students who have completed their 12th standard from a recognised board are eligible to apply. The college considers the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (12th standard) for admission to B.Com, B.Com (Accounting and Finance), B.Com (Banking and Insurance), and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programmes.
The Matushri Pushpaben Vinubhai Valia College of Commerce has only a total of six courses which it offers to students across two key levels – undergraduate and postgraduate.
B.Com: The Bachelor of Commerce programme offered at MPVVCC takes three years to complete for undergraduate students. MPVVCC admission to the programme is based on a merit list prepared according to the 12th standard marks. Students can come from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science), but preference might be given to Commerce stream students.
B.Com (Accounting and Finance): It offers special 3-years programmes dealing with accounting and finance. The admission process for this programme follows the same approach as that of the general B.Com programme and takes a major mark for the performance of the candidate in accounting and mathematics of 12th standard examination.
B.Com (Banking and Insurance): A specialised three-year programme, admission to this course is based on merit lists drawn from the 12th standard. Those who are really interested in the banking and insurance field are invited to apply.
BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies): This programme is a three-year undergraduate course in management. The merit list is based on 12th marks, although any entrance exam conducted by the University of Mumbai in management may also be considered.
M.Com (Advanced Accountancy): This two-year postgraduate programme will admit students based on performance in the B.Com or equivalent degree. For short-listing candidates, the college may conduct an entrance exam or interview.
M.Com (Business Management): The second, a two-year postgraduate programme, follows admission into this course based on a candidate's exposure and performance during an undergraduate degree, preferably at the field of commerce or business. Entrance tests or interviews may be part of the selection process.
