HOPE THIS HELPS
Hello,
For a career in fashion designing, NIFT is the best college in India, which also has its own entrance exam that is NIFT since it is the National Institute of Fashion Technology and only caters in the field of fashion.
NID is also the best college in India which caters to all other aspects of designing except Fashion.
AIEED is the All India Entrance Examination for Design, it is only an exam where you give the exam, get your score , apply to design colleges accepting AIEED scores and according to your marks you will be given admission. AIEED is of no use to NIFT and NID since these two colleges have their own entrance exams.
Therefore I suggest that you go for NIFT if you want a career in Fashion Designing. Also try for private fashion designing colleges such as Pearl Academy, ISDI, ARCH College, SOFT College, MIT ADT University, SRISHTI, UID.
All the best!
Hey Aspirant!
As candidates reach to next round of counselling, with the same pace seats of the colleges and branches get filled. So, chances to get a new seat decreases with increasing rounds of counselling. But if any candidate leaves the seat or there are vacant seats available then you might get a seat in NIFT, but it depends on your rank as well.
As per the previous years records, the chances if getting into NIFT from MFM are higher during 2nd round counselling than 3rd round. But you can still try.
Thankyou!

The NIFT programmes are aimed at offering value added programmes to the local students from the State where the NIFT campuses are located and to facilitate lateral entry to the existing degree programmes of NIFT. You can go for MDes, i.e. Masters in Design in various courses offered by NIFT. You can also opt for MFtech, i.e. Masters in Fashion Technology which is Apparel Production.
Employees who graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) earn an average of 22lakhs, mostly ranging from 5lakhs per year to 50lakhs per year.
All the best!
NIFT's CE program is a resume strengthening course. There are no official placements post completion of these continuing education programs. They'll be beneficial from the employment point of view only if you're already working with a particular firm, wish to add a new dimension to your work profile. Basically to strengthen your future employment credentials for a certain profile.
Basically, these are the courses which enhance your own personal skills and can help in building of your resume. These courses alone does not guarantee you the job in various sectors. You have to appear for entrances and other courses in order to get a job.
Regards.

The college infrastructure is great. The library is really good and has air conditioning. the college doesnt have sports centre or hostel. the canteen served food is fine. but there is not much cleanliness in the canteen. overall the college is fine except some issues.
