Parbati Teachers' Training Institute, is one of the well-known institutions in Burdwan, West Bengal, dealing with teacher training. The institute, which is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), offers two regular courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
The admission policy in Parbati Teachers' Training Institute is based on merit, as stipulated by the state government and the concerned university. Admission into both B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses is mainly done based on marks scored in the entrance test. The institute can also hold an entrance test or any other selection process as decided by the State Government or UT administration.
Application Process
The application process for Parbati Teachers' Training Institute is as follows:

2. Application Form: Candidates can download the application form from the website of the institute or can collect it in person from the campus.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The B.Ed program of Parbati Teachers' Training Institute is sanctioned for an intake capacity of 100 students. The admission to the two-year full-time course based on merit depends on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection policy follows that of the state government's and affiliated university's policy. Candidates should have completed their bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
There are 50 seats for potential primary school teachers in the D.El.Ed course. The admission is merit-based for this two-year full-time diploma course. The choice of the candidates is based on the candidate's performance in the entrance exam or other selection process as may be decided by the State Government or UT administration. Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board can take admission for this course.
