Ramadevi Women’s College, Bhubaneswar become the first Women's University of Orissa. The college, which was started in 1964, saw various transformation before it was renamed as Rama Devi Women's University in 2015. The university is affiliating university to 46 women's colleges.

SC-ST Cell: The cell resolves all the affairs and problems related to the SC/ST students and faculties.
Grievance Redressal System: The Grievance Redressal Committee addresses any grievances raised by students related to general administration, examination/evaluation and any other problems related to day to day functioning.
Women Empowerment Cell: The cell involves the members of students and teachers community. The objective of the cell is to create a gender sensitized community within the campus as well as in the society. It has been organising varied academic, technical, medical, cultural and social events for the upliftment of women and spread the real importance of gender equality in the society through the College students.
Women's Grievance Redressal Cell: The cell is committed to the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women and takes active steps towards gender sensitization and elimination of sexual harassment.
Counsellor Cell: The cell facilitates academic, emotional, social and cognitive development of the student and empowers them in their learning and personal development.
Students Welfare Board: The Students Welfare Board organises various activities on the campus, which include annual sports competitions, cultural festivals, and celebration of the national days. The board also organises social activities which include blood donation drives, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and awareness lectures for youth.
National Service Scheme (NSS): The college regularly organises the community-based programmes to inculcate the spirit of service in students.
National Cadet Corps (NCC): The University has the NCC unit for boys and girls. It recruits cadets from high schools, colleges, and universities for the services in the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force. During the three-year training programme, NCC of University offers B certification in the second year and C certification in the third year to the cadets who succeed in the NCC examination.
The Ranger: Rangering is the senior branch of the Guide wing of Bharat Scouts and Guides. It meets the need for youth to adjust easily to the challenges of present-day life and contributes to the positive development of the society in which they live.
The youth Red Cross: The vision of the Youth Red Cross is to become a leading humanitarian organization serving vulnerable people. The members of the club regularly take part in the various events and promote humanitarian services in society.
Alumni Association: The aim of the alumni association is to help the objectives of the parents association. The association regularly guide the university and colleges about upcoming trends and challenges in the market. It also informs about the skills required to meet the challenges of the current situations.
Magazine Committee: The committee has members from the students and teachers, who thoroughly proofread and edit the articles and other write-ups written by their fellow students.
Literary Committee: The committee encourages the students' participation in literary activities through, essay writing, poems and article contribution. It provides a forum through which students can hone their oratory and analytical skills.
Dramatic Society: The Dramatics society is a good platform for the students to showcase their talent in acting. The street play team of the college actively represents the college in inter-college competitions.
Science Society: The society promotes scientific temper in day to day life. It spreads awareness towards science and challenges the blind faith of the society.
Athletic Society: The society promotes and encourages students to take part in athletic society.
Placement Cell: Through the placement cell, the College makes students constantly aware of the changing trends and demands of the industry so as to equip them with the highest level of potential for cracking the tough selection procedures. Experts from within the industry regularly visit the college for talks, seminars and interactive e sessions which immensely help job seekers in their preparations for the same.
