While many desire to become doctors, only a few succeed. Becoming a doctor is a challenging and rigorous process involving various stages. Students first have to complete their 10+2 in the medical stream, qualify for MBBS by successfully clearing their NEET UG examination, select their medical schools, complete the MBBS degree, which itself is a difficult journey and takes 5.5 years to complete. They also need to complete a compulsory internship. Once completed, they are required to register for their medical license from the National Medical Commission (NMC). For further education, they can also apply for postgraduate degrees in medicine such as MS, MD, or DNB.

Hello,

That’s a smart plan! As a BSc Nursing 1st-year student, you can start short online courses to boost placements by 3rd year.

Here are some useful ones:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / First Aid – Red Cross, Coursera, Medvarsity

  • Infection Control & Public Health – WHO, Coursera (Johns Hopkins)

  • Clinical Research & Pharmacovigilance – Medvarsity, Coursera

Hello,

If you cleared Sem 1 but got KT (backlogs) in Sem 2 and 3 and later dropped out, you can still rejoin from Sem 4, but only after clearing your pending KT subjects first.

Here’s how it usually works:

  • You must apply for re-admission or continuation at your college/university.

  • Once your Sem 2 and 3 backlogs are cleared, you can move to Sem 4.

  • Approval depends on your college rules and university regulations (some universities allow continuation with ATKT, some don’t).

So yes, you can join Sem 4, but only after clearing your KT papers or getting permission from your college’s academic office.

Hope you understand.

Hello,

Pillai College, Rasayani offers a BSc in Data Science, and while it doesn’t clearly state that internships are guaranteed, the college does provide training, industry tie-ups, and placement support for Data Science and IT students.

They often organize industrial visits, workshops, and internship opportunities through their Training & Placement Cell. However, the internship may not be mandatory or assured for every student, it depends on availability and performance.

You should contact the college placement cell or department directly to know about:

  • Internship duration and eligibility

  • Companies that offered internships last year

  • Whether it’s a part of the final-year curriculum

So yes, internship options are available, but they are not automatic, you’ll have to apply through the college’s placement process.

Hope you understand.
