Rao B.Ed. College, Alwar, is a private institution, recognized and affiliated to PT DEV BHOOMI SHIVAGRISHNAGAR UNIVERSITY. The college is focused on providing quality teacher education and is therefore duly approved by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). The admission process of Rao B.Ed. College will be carried out in accordance with government statutes and UT administration by the rules and regulations of the respective university. The major criterion for the admission to Rao B.Ed. College is merit, based on the marks scored in the qualifying examinations and/or the entrance examination. However, other criterions can also be considered for admission in following the policies which are currently adapted by the college. 

Admission Process

These are the steps to be followed during the admission process at Rao B.Ed. College, Alwar:

1. Check for Eligibility: Check the eligibility criteria for the respective program chosen, i.e. B.Ed. or D.Ed.

2. Obtain an Application Form: The application form can be downloaded from the college website or can be obtained by contacting the admission office.

3. Fill Application Form: Fill out the application form with proper personal information and academic details.

4. Enclose Required Documents: Compile and attach photocopies of the following relevant and demanded documents:

• Passport-sized photographs
• Mark Sheets of qualifying examinations
• Birth Certificate
• Caste Certificate (If Applicable)
• Any other document as specified by the college

5. Application Submission: The application should be submitted at the admission office of the college before the last date with all the requisite documents.

6. Entrance Test: To appear for the entrance examination, if applicable, on the dates that will be notified by the college or the main university.

Admission Process Degree-wise

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): Rao B.Ed. College is accepting 100 candidates for its Bachelor of Education program, and admission to the B.Ed. course is based on merit, taking into consideration marks in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination. The college abides by the admission criteria set by the state government, UT administration, and the affiliate university. Candidates with a graduation or post-graduation degree in relevant subjects can apply for the B.Ed. program.

D.Ed. (Diploma in Education): The D.Ed. program has 50 seats at Rao B.Ed. College. Just like in the case of B.Ed, the D.Ed program is merit-based, selecting students based on their scores in qualifying examinations and/or entrance examinations. One set of selection criteria will apply from the government of the state/UT administration list. Candidates that passed their higher secondary education (10+2) may generally apply for the D.Ed. program.
