IGMC has a well-established campus with good lecture halls, demonstration rooms, and fully equipped laboratories. The attached IGMC Hospital is one of the busiest tertiary-care centers in Himachal Pradesh, providing excellent clinical exposure. Hostel facilities are decent, though slightly old. The campus is compact but functional, with all essential amenities.

Our CSE faculty is 9/10, where the concepts are explained really well with detailed explanations. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester exam is based on your preparation strategy and how you attempt the exam.

Our college provides good placement offers. Top recruiting companies that recruit seniors are JP Morgan, Salesforce, Wipro, and Amazon. 70% of students get internships from our course in companies like Wipro (according to my knowledge). Overall, our college provides very good placement offers.

Before the recession, 70% placements were provided. But after recession, only 40% of students got placed. The highest package is around 10 -15 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. Recruiting companies are Silicon Labs, Deloitte, Infosys, Qualcomm, Microsoft, and Deshaw

The faculty members during our time were supportive and dedicated. They helped us understand new concepts with practical examples and provided insights based on their industry experience. Even during busy times, like semester-end rush or placement preparation, teachers worked hard to guide us.

The opportunities were good, and many students secured decent salary packages for that era. The course provided clarity about corporate expectations and encouraged some students to explore entrepreneurship, which several of my classmates pursued later.

The facilities were quite standard for me during my tenure there. I felt that the Computer Science laboratories needed a serious technology upgrade. I spent much of my practical time working with rather older machines. The classroom seating arrangements were adequate and I did appreciate the access I had to the college library. Overall, the infrastructure was acceptable but it was not anything that truly amazed me.

The Computer Science faculty were very dedicated and committed to teaching me the core concepts of the curriculum. I feel I received a very strong and reliable theoretical foundation because of their consistent guidance. I was always encouraged by them to ask questions and deepen my technical understanding of subjects. They truly made some of the complex topics approachable and manageable for me. I believe the rigorous curriculum prepared me well for my future.
Placements
I must admit that the overall placement scenario was quite disappointing and frustrating for me. There were unfortunately limited opportunities directly relevant to a core Computer Science Honours graduate. Most of the few companies visiting were there for mass recruitment roles only. I sincerely wish the college had focused much more on attracting core technology firms. I had to mostly rely on my own personal efforts for job hunting.
Campus Life
My campus experience was decent and friendly enough, but it was nothing too exciting or overwhelming for me. I was able to connect with my batchmates and establish a few good study groups. I wish there were more diverse activities and dedicated student clubs for me to join. Sometimes the campus felt a little too crowded and unorganized. It was an average atmosphere for me, providing standard social interaction.

65-90% of students got placed in good companies. The highest package is 14 LPA. The lowest package is 6 LPA. Recruiting companies include Amazon, Deloitte, JP Morgan, and other companies. Nearly 50 to 60 different companies will come to campus every year.

In our college, 55 -69 percent of the students are placed in different top MNC companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, Aveva, Salesforce, Adobe, Infosys, Deutsche Bank, Capgemini, Wells Fargo, Service Now, Cisco, JPMC and more. At least 100+ companies have visited our GNITS and recruited 600+ students for internships and full-time jobs.

It has a poor Wi-Fi signal and some classrooms are not clean. The quality of food is good in the hostel and canteen. Our college hostel is purely veg, and no non-veg is allowed into college premises. The canteen also consists of veg items only with a variety of dishes.

62-88% of students get placed in our course. The highest package is 22 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, etc., visit the college for placements. Around 60% of students got internships from our course in different companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. We are satisfied with it.

There are two types of placements, so 1 is smart interviews and another one is being zero. We definitely get into placements with a nice package, and many people have been placed with 10 LPA, which is the highest package achieved in 2024

The ECE course is very popular from the start, and it's an evergreen branch. My college is a great option for studying the ECE course, and you will get placed in a good company after completion of the course. The hostel facilities in clg are also good but not excellent, they need to be improved.

The college faculty members are very good. The lecturers are friendly and very good at their profession. The course curriculum is also good and relevant. It does make the students industry-ready. Semester exams in clg are difficult enough to examine the students.

70-86 percent placements according to my knowledge. The highest package is 13 LPA, and median is 5-3 LPA. Microsoft is top-most recruiting company. GNITS is very well known for the placements and for women it's mostly preferred. The placement opportunities in GNITS are very good.

Faculty members in the MBA department are very supportive and knowledgeable. Most professors have industry experience, which helps us understand real business situations. Exams are manageable if you study consistently, and the overall pass percentage is around 90%.

Nearly 70 to 75% of students get placed every year, which is considered good for our region. This year, the highest package reached around 14 to 15 LPA, while the lowest was about 3 LPA. The average package is close to 6 to 7 LPA.

As it is a women’s college, the premises are maintained well, but hostel facilities and other factors like food still need improvement. The taste of the food is not up to the mark, and hygiene needs to improve a lot. Sports and game opportunities are good so far.

The teachers have knowledge about the subjects, but it is limited to that only. They are qualified, but they have flaws. As I have completed graduation, I can explain that they still need to improve. The course curriculum is relevant. Mostly, but it is not in an advanced edition, so they still need to do better.
