Shiva Degree College, Pratapgarh Admission Process

Shiva Degree College, Pratapgarh, is affiliated with National Council for Teacher Education and is recognized as a college by the Council. The institution produces teachers of quality and is currently running a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program. Admission at Shiva Degree College is devised to identify deserving candidates under its programme for future teacher training.

Admission to the courses offered by the college is done as per the rules of the state government and UT Administration. Admissions are on merit, and in some cases, the entrance examination or some other selection process may be used in the admission of students as per the rule policy of the state government or UT Administration.

Degree wise Admission Process

D.EL.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
This is full-time and 2 years full-course orientated training designed at making aspiring teachers ready for taking on the most primary of elementary education roles. The college has set aside allowances for student intake to the said course. Entry to the D.El.Ed course is purely merit-based and governed by the qualifying examination and/or entrance test, set under the policy of the state government.

Entry Requirements to D.EL.Ed. normally entail:

  • 10+2 or an equivalent successful completion from a recognized board

  • Minimum percentage of marks, as prescribed by state government or NCTE norms

  • Other criteria stipulated by the state government and UT Administration
