The Ayurvedic Medical College affiliated to Shri JG Co-operative Hospital Society is established at Belgaum, Karnataka, India in the year 1996 is one of the renowned institution imparting education in Ayurveda in Karnataka. This affiliated college is situated in Ghataprabha Gokak and is approved by Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM). The institute, which is located on a 3-acres of land, with various 11 courses in three different degree programmes for both undergraduate and post graduate students. It expanded a total student intake of 330 and a faculty of 36 to ensure that the ratio of student and teacher is in proportion for effective reach and quality teaching.
Ayurvedic Medical College has all the necessary resources to provide a comfortable learning environment for students. Currently, there are over 20000 treatises and diverse journals related to Ayurveda and modern medicine, besides having a computerised library with RGUHS Helinet project. Sophisticated laboratory facilities along with conducive environments within, are equipped with diagnostic tools like X- ray, ECG, USG, EEG etc. There are different hostels for male and female students; 37 rooms house 116 boys and 22 rooms for 78 girls.
