Shri JG Co Operative Hospital Society's Ayurvedic Medical College, Belgaum Admission Process

"Shri J. J. Cooperative Hospital Society Ayurvedic Medical College" in Belgaum, one of the prestigious institutions rendering Ayurvedic education in Karnataka, and is affiliated to Shri J. J. Cooperative Hospital Society. The undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Ayurveda offered by the College aim at selecting the best-qualified candidates for their highly diversified programs in Ayurveda. Admission for all offered programs at Shri J.G. Co-operative Hospital Society's Ayurvedic Medical College is through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) held by the National Testing Agency, Government of India. This all-inclusive entrance test ensures that the most competent candidates at par with other colleges are considered for the Ayurvedic programs offered by the college.

The mode of admission to the BAMS program, which is the central course of the institution, is only through the NEET scores. The College has a total intake capacity of 50 for the BAMS program. Admission to this program will be available to candidates qualifying in the NEET examination. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to BAMS shall have been passed by an applicant who completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, satisfied the minimum ages, and fulfilled other requirements as prescribed by the regulations made by the Central Council of Indian Medicine and state government.

Application Process

The application for Shri J.G. Co-operative Hospital Society Ayurvedic Medical College, Belgaum, is mainly about NEET and all processes after it. Here is a broad overview of the application processes.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS program: Among the prominent undergraduate courses that Shri J.G. Co-operative Hospital Society's Ayurvedic Medical College conducts is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). The admission for students to this course is carried out through their merit performance during the NEET examinations as conducted by the National Testing Agency, Government of India. The admission for this course shall comprise of intake for 50 seats by the college. Candidates have to qualify through the NEET examination conducted by the National Testing Agency, Government of India. The admission on the ground of all existing rules will take place at the time of admission.

MD/MS Program: The college imparts an MD and MS degree in varied disciplines of Ayurveda at the postgraduate level. In these MD programs, the following are offered:

  1. Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana
  2. Swasthavritta
  3. Rog Nidan
  4. Dravyaguna
  5. Kayachikitsa
  6. Shalya Tantra
  7. Shalakya Tantra
  8. Prasuti Tantra and Stri Roga
  9. Kaumarbhrtiya
  10. Panchakarma

For each of these postgraduate programs, the approved intake is 5 seats.
