Spandan College of Education, Bankura is a co-educational institute to mould aspiring teachers into future teachers, the college functions to train would-be teachers as per the approval of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, in an overall admission process to the various teacher education programmes. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program at Spandan College of Education is a full-time, two-year course that admits 100 students each academic year. The admission to the B.Ed program is fully merit as per the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination performance of the candidate. For the B.Ed. program, the eligibility criteria are to have completed graduation or post-graduation from a recognized university. The college follows the admission guidelines of the State Government, UT administration, and the affiliated University.
D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed. program too, is a full-time two-year course having a total intake of 100 seats each year. Admission to the D.El.Ed. course is based on merit calculated from the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or the result of the entrance test. Candidates eligible for the selection process must have finished their higher secondary education (10+2) after completing their studies with a recognized board. The selection process therefore follows policies of the State Government or UT administration.
