Spandan College of Education, Bankura was established in the session 2016 as a Co-Educational Institution to mould the future citizens of aspiring teachers. This affiliated college in the scenic village of Katul occupies within a very short period of its journey a niche in the field of teacher education. The institution is approved by the National Council of Teacher Education, New Delhi. The total student enrollment for Spandan College of Education is 400 and faculty strength is 36.

The facilities available in the college are limitless, all put in place to foster learning and general development of a student.  The admission process in Spandan College of Education is absolutely merit-based and transparent. In the case of a B.Ed. course, admission shall strictly be based on the merit of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The College may also consider any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government or UT administration and the affiliated University. Admission to the D.El.Ed course is also based on merit, counted in view of the marks at the qualifying examination and/or result of entrance test.
