The St. Soldier College of Education, Jalandhar, Punjab, is dedicated to producing the teachers of tomorrow. Admission to D.El.Ed is purely on merit based on marks obtained by the candidate in the Qualifying Examination and/or examination to be conducted by the state government or UT administration. The candidate's final selection will depend upon performance of the candidate in an entrance test/examinations.
D.P.Ed has 50 seats. Admissions are done strictly on merit base with marks obtained by the applicant in the previous level of education and on an entrance examination; subsequently needs-based holds by the state government/University/UT.
B.P.Ed programme involves 50 seats. The selection for the B.P.Ed programme is exhaustive, with many components. Candidates here might be on the basis of their performance at a written test or fitness test or external test; however, the final selection would involve all three. The policy of the state/affiliating university determines the weightage given to each test.
The last Master Programme of the college is Masters in Education, titled M.Ed. It has fifty seats. The admission to the M.Ed is given by considering eligible marks obtained in the previous level of education and through entrance exams (conducted by the university or state governments or any otherbody), as set down by the authorities. Candidates should keep themselves updated on the latest provisions.
