About HPCET 2024

HP CET 2024 - HPTU has concluded the HP CET 2024 registration process on the official website himtu.ac.in. Candidates were able to fill out the HP CET application form 2024 till April 25, 2024. The authority has announced HPCET 2024 exam date on the official website. HPCET exam 2024 will be held on May 10. The detailed notification regarding the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test 2024 has been updated online. The HP CET 2024 application form was released on March 18, 2024.

Candidates who have passed class 10+2 from a recognized board in a relevant subject with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved candidates) can fill out the HPCET 2024 application form. To prepare for the Himachal Pradesh entrance exam, candidates must follow the HPTU syllabus. Moreover, candidates can check the HP CET exam pattern to understand the structure of the question paper.

HPTU initiated the HP CET 2024 registration process on March 18, 2024, with the registration link available on himtu.ac.in. The deadline for submitting the HPCET 2024 application form is April 18, 2024. Additionally, the HPTU has announced the HPCET 2024 exam date on May 10, 2024, and detailed notifications regarding the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test 2024 are available online. Candidates eligible for the exam, having passed class 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates), can fill out the application form. To prepare effectively, candidates should adhere to the HPTU syllabus and understand the HP CET exam pattern.

About HPCET Exam

The full form of HPCET is the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test. HPCET 2024 is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University for admission to various UG and PG courses in the affiliated colleges/institutes and University schools & off-campuses. Candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions will be allowed to apply for the test. Admission to the participating institutes will be based on HPCET score.

HPCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

HPCET B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

HPTU has released the HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria along with the official brochure. Candidates have to adhere to HPCET eligibility criteria 2024 which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • To be eligible for B.Tech, candidates must have passed or appeared 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following as third subject – Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates need to have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the above mentioned subjects. For reserved category candidates, 40% marks are required for the same.

HPCET B.Arch Eligibility Criteria

There are certain conditions and requirements that candidates are required to meet to be eligible for admission. Candidates will have to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • Candidates need to have scored minimum 50%  marks (45% in case of reserved categories) in aggregate in their 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics as a compulsory subject to be eligible for B.Arch. OR
  • Candidates who have passed 10+3 diploma equivalent to 10+2 level with  Mathematics as a compulsory subject with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of reserved category).

HPCET B.Sc. HMCT Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates will have to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams in any stream from a recognized Board established by the Central/ State Government to be eligible for this programme.
  • Candidates also need to have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying exam (45% in the case of SC/ ST category candidates).

HPCET B.Pharma Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates had to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • For B.Pharm, candidates need to have passed or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following as a third subject – Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject to be considered eligible for B.Pharmacy.
  • Also, candidates must have secured a minimum 45% marks in the subjects mentioned above taken together. For the same criteria, 40% marks are required for candidates from reserved categories.
  • Candidates applying should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year.

HPCET M.B.A Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates will have to adhere to the HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • To be eligible for an MBA, candidates needed to have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years duration with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. (45% marks in case of reserved categories)
  • The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates had to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

HPCET M.C.A. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be released on the official website. Candidates have to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

For MCA, candidates need to have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or the Graduation level with a minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination. (45% marks in case of reserved categories)

HPTU released the HPCET 2024 application form at the official website, himtu.ac.in. The application form of HPCET 2024 is available in online mode. The HPCET application process comprises registration, form filling, uploading documents, and payment of application fee. Candidates who fulfil the Himachal Pradesh CET eligibility criteria can fill the HPCET application form. Below are the steps for filling out the application form.

How to fill HPCET Application Form 2024?

Registration – Candidates have to register by providing their name, user name, date of birth, valid email address and mobile number. After entering all the details, a password will have to be created by the candidates. Upon successful registration, a unique form number will be generated and sent to the provided email id.

Filling of Details in Application Form – Candidates will be required to fill in their personal, academic and communication details, after logging in using the user name, password and application number.

Documents Uploading – After filling of all the details, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature in the specifications as prescribed by the authorities.

Application Form Editing – Candidates will be able to edit their filled details in the application form (if necessary).

Fee Payment – Following this, candidates will have to pay the requisite application fee in online or offline mode. Online payment can be made through a credit card or debit card, however, offline payment can be made through PNB Challan.

Confirmation Page & Submission - After application fee payment, a PDF will be generated. This PDF will have to be mailed at himtuadmission @gmail.com or candidates can also choose to submit it personally at the office of the “Controller of Examinations Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur (H.P.)-177001” within a week after it was generated.

HPCET M.C.A. Result

HPCET 2024 Counselling

Mode of Counselling: Online, Offline

Himachal Pradesh Technical University will release the HPCET counselling 2024 date on the official website. The authority will conduct the HPCET counselling process in online mode. To participate in counselling of HPCET 2024, candidates have to first get themselves registered. During the HPCET 2024 counselling registration, candidates have to make the payment of the counselling fee.

The authorities will announce the HPCET 2024 seat allotment results for round 1 on the official website. Candidates who were allotted seats were required to online accept the seat. After accepting the seat, candidates had to report to the allotted institute to complete the admission process.

HPCET 2024 Selection Process

HPCET B.Tech Selection Process

The admission to B.Tech programmes will be based on merit/rank/ score obtained in the JEE Main exam for 50% of seats. For the remaining 50% seats, the merit of HPCET 2024 will be considered.

HPCET B.Arch Selection Process

Candidates will be admitted to 5 years B.Arch. programme based on their 10+2 or equivalent exam aggregate marks and valid NATA score (Percentage) or JEE Main Paper 2 score (Percentage) taken in equal ratio.

HPCET B.Sc. HMCT Selection Process

The admission to this programme will be on the basis of merit of 10+2 or equivalent exam.

HPCET B.Pharma Selection Process

  • Candidates will get admission to B. Pharmacy on the basis of their HPCET merit.
  • In case of vacant seats, the merit of 10+2 exam will be taken into consideration for admission.

HPCET M.B.A Selection Process

  • Candidates will get admission to the MBA programme in the order of their merit of valid scores of CAT, CMAT, MAT etc. respectively.
  • In case of vacant seats, the merit of the HPCET exam will be taken into consideration for admission.
  • In case the seats remain vacant, they will be filled up based on the merit of the Bachelor's degree exam.

HPCET M.C.A. Selection Process

  • On the basis of HPCET exam merit, candidates will get admission to MCA programme.
  • The vacant seats will be filled on the basis of merit of recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or at Graduation level.

Documents Required at Counselling

  • Marks sheet of class 10
  • Passing certificate of the qualifying exam
  • Class 10 certificate as date of birth proof
  • JEE Main or HPCET score card
  • Character certificate
  • Bonafide/ domicile certificate issued by sub-divisional magistrate/ executive magistrate
  • Category certificate (only for reserved category candidates)
  • Physically challenged certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (if applied under tuition fee waiver scheme)
  • Affidavit attested by executive magistrate (if applied under beti hai anmol scheme)
  • Domicile certificate (if applied under supernumerary kashmiri migrant quota)
  • Counselling application form duly attested
  • Marks sheet of class 12
  • Copy of valid passport & visa
  • Marks sheet of bachelor's degree (only for master's programme)

I m getting 125 marks in hpcet 2022. Can I get govt b pharmacy college?

Hello,

For admission to b pharm programmes at government or private institutions in Himachal Pradesh, you received 129 points in the Himachal Pradesh Cet exam. The overall score for the hpcet is 300.  You nearly passed the hpcet test, but because you are a student in the general category, it is impossible for you to enrol in a good private or public institution for a B-Pharm degree with these results. You must receive at least 200 plus marks on the hpcet test in order to be accepted into a reputable college for the B-Pharm degree programme where pharmacy education is offered.

You can enroll in private universities for the B-Pharmacy programme at a greater cost because you received 129 marks with these grades.

  • HPCET cutoff 2022 will be different for every course, college and category selected by the candidates.
  • The authorities will prepare the cutoff by checking the factors related to HPCET 2022.
  • Candidates who meet the HPCET 2022 cutoff will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
