Is there any negative marking in hpcet for compulsory questions..

Hi aspirant,

1. HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) carries negative marking .
2. For each wrong answer , one point will be deducted from the overall score .
3. Correct answers score four points, whilst unanswered questions receive none.

This marking scheme applies to all questions, whether compulsory or optional. For instance, in the B.Tech/B.Pharm exam, Section A consists of 20 compulsory questions, and Section B includes 40 questions from which you need to attempt 30. All attempted questions are subject to the same marking rules.

Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) exam conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University they  does not have negative marking for compulsory questions.  +1 markes for each correct answer,No negative marking and no marks deducted for unanswered questions.
