JNGEC Sundernagar offers admissions to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. For JNGEC Sundernagar admission to the B.Tech programme, candidates have to appear for HPCET. Candidates need to qualify the entrance test in order to appear for HPCET counselling for the seat allotment. As per the Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College admission process for the B.Tech programme, seats are allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit scores of HPCET. B.Tech is a four-year full-time undergraduate programme offered by JNGEC Sundernagar. The programme is offered in the following specialisations: artificial intelligence and machine learning, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering and textile engineering.

• Candidates first have to meet the eligibility criteria.

• After that, candidates have to appear for HPCET, conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University.

• First, candidates have to meet JNGEC Sundernagar eligibility criteria.

• Second, candidates have to appear for HPCET M.Tech, conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University.

• Third, after the declaration of the result, a merit list and ranks are released.

• Candidates with a valid GATE score are exempted from the entrance test and a separate merit list is released for them.

• Scores of GATE are given the preference.
