hello there, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar technological university is now officially state university of Maharashtra for technical courses like B.Tech. This college is Situated at Lonere in Raigad district of Maharashtra. We are proud of our college as it is just about 59 km. away from Raigad fort. DBATU has state of the art architecture and it has won many awards for it. we have a huge library with somewhere around 50000 books to feed the curious brains over here. The faculty here is great with huge teaching experience but the student-faculty ratio is not as good. The hostel is the worst place where would want to stay. First-year hostel mess is the worst but it gets better for the senior hostel. Placement are average for branches like petrochemical engineering and chemical engineering. Vice chancellor working now is putting high efforts to create a incubation cell for new ideas on entrepreneurship and leadership development. As college comes in rural area the place is much affordable as compared to other places like Pune. thanks for reaching.

Better one and special for higher education

First of all DBATU is a STATE UNIVERSITY with its main centre situated at lonere. Presently 51 colleges all over Maharashtra are affiliated to it In the course of time all engineering colleges in Maharashtra will be affiliated to DBATU. The scenario of the university is changing after the appointment of new VC. Besides that the syllabus has been updated and efforts are made bring in placements. DBATU will help you grow as a person because you will get chance to witness national level technical events like CYNOSURE , TED talks etc.. If you want to pursue higher education or prepare for some competitive exams BATU is best because you will get lot of spare time as students are not burdened with lot of submissions. However from placements point of view it is not that good. I found that regular BATU students are not willing to break their heads & put in their blood and sweat to get what they want! This quality keeps the industry away. This is one of the reasons for poor placements. However some are exceptionally talented and have their own patents. Though the BATU is located in a rural area it does not hamper studies rather it provides a peaceful and calm environment. Mind you BATU looks damn beautiful during the rainy season. THINGS ARE CHANGING IN BATU FOR THE BETTER! So in my personal opinion, BATU is in a transforming stage and I don't know how long it will take to be TRANSFORMED. If you jump in BATU and you sail across the 4 years of engineering with dedication and passion, believe me it will be an experience worth remembering.

Faculty and research level needs to b improve

Students are ready to do research but there are very few opportunities. Infrastructure n campus life is very natural. Research labs are available but good faculty is required to fulfill level of study . Personally I had learned lot of new things , enjoyed natural beauty, have seen lot of good profs and people. As university is in rural area , studets have to lean new technologies by there own rather than depending on outside classes n institute.

Average govt collge for engineering education

Infrastructure of college is the best thing as well as faculty. The college is mostly known for its faculty.Educational facilities are on average. Cultural programs held regularly every year.college is rising as champion in various sports competitions. The worst thing about the collge is its environment. there is greenery everywhere no developed area. This type of environment is not beneficial for engineering to develop own personality. New vice chancellor is trying to affliate this college as central University in which all collges under Maharashtra will affliate under this University. Campus placement is average. 15-20 students from each branch placed every year.overall reviews about the collge are good except the region surrounding the college.Enjoyment for engineer is really hardworking here.

Infrastructure of the collge is best faculty good but environment surrounding collge is really bad for personality development.it is not beneficial for an engineer to live in remote areas.campus placement is average 20_30% students placed every year.college is improving its standard with help of new vice chancellor.overall collge life is same as other engineering colleges.cultural programmes held regularly evry year.collge is improving its capabilities in sports too.college is rising as central University as few collges in Maharashtra are affiliating to this University.
