• Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian National.

• Age Limit: No age limit prescribed to appear for MHT CET 2025

• Qualifying Exam:

  • Candidates appearing/ passed HSC or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University are eligible.

  • B.Sc degree holders with Maths in class 12th are also eligible to apply.

Only Maharashtra candidates claim any one Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

• Type A: Candidates who have passed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Or A candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra.

• Type B: A candidate who does not belong to Type-A above, but has a Father or Mother who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.

• Type C: Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted in Maharashtra before the deadline for MHT CET CAP application submission (which means the counselling application form)

• Type D: Candidates who do not fall under any above-mentioned types but has a Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

• Type E: Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

Steps to fill MHT CET 2025 application form

Candidates who are interested in applying for the MHT CET exam must follow the below steps and complete the registration.

• Step 1: Registration - Candidates have to first register for MHT CET 2025. For registration, candidates will need to verify their mobile number and email Id by verifying the OTP. After verification, candidates have to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, and gender along with creating a username and password.
• Step 2: Filling application form- After successful registration of MHT CET, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal using the username and password. After log in to the candidates' panel, candidates have to add personal, educational, and communication details in the application form.

• Step 3: Uploading Scanned Images - Candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

The authority will release the MHT CET 2025 cutoff on the official website. The cutoff of MHT CET 2025 will be announced after each round of the Maharashtra CET counselling. The authority will conduct the MHT CET 2025 counselling online. Candidates can check the notification regarding the MHT CET counselling on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. MHT CET counselling comprises registration, choice filling, document verification, seat allotment, and reporting to the institutes.
