About MHT CET 2020
MHT CET is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. The authorities have announced new exam dates of MHT CET 2020 which will now be conducted on July 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 28, 29, 30, 31 and August 3, 4 and 5. The authorities have now provided a facility to change MHT CET exam centres to the candidates from June 5 to 10, 2020. MHT CET is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy courses offered by the participating institutes of the state. MHT CET 2020 application form was released on January 7 and the last date to submit the form was February 29. However, the last date to fill the application form with a late fee of Rs 500 was March 7. The CET cell reopened the application window from May 26 to June 1 for those candidates who had failed to register. Also, all MHT CET 2020 applicants have to update their HSC board information in their online application from May 16 to June 7. MHT CET 2020 will include two sections - Section 1 for Physics & Chemistry and Section 2 for Mathematics. The admit card for the entrance exam will be released in online mode. On the basis of marks secured by the candidates in MHT CET 2020, the authorities will prepare a merit list. Candidates who will be listed in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process.

Candidates should have completed class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.
Eligibility Criteria of MHT CET 2020 - Maharashtra State Candidature
A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.
MHT CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra State Candidature
Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but has a Father or Mother who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.
Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted and reported to the duty in Maharashtra before the deadline of MHT CET CAP application submission (which means the counselling application form)
Candidates who do not fall under any above mentioned types but has Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognised institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

Maharashtra CET Cell released the MHT CET 2020 application form on January 7. The last date to fill the application form was February 29, 2020. However, the last date to submit the application form with a late fee of Rs 500 was March 7. The application form was available in online mode. Candidates should keep all the required documents ready before filling the application form. The authorities again opened the MHT CET 2020 registration portal on May 26 to June 1.

Steps to fill MHT CET application form 2020
Step 1: Registration - In the first step, candidates had to first register for MHT CET 2020. For registration, candidates have to verify their mobile number and email Id by entering the OTP. After verification, candidates are required to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender along with creating username and password.
Important: Password should have a minimum of 8 characters including one special character, one alphabet and one number.
Step 2: Filling application form- After successful registration, candidates had to login to the candidate portal with the username and password created during registration. After successful login, candidates are required to fill the personal, educational and communication details of the application form.
Step 3: Uploading Scanned Images - In this step, candidates had to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.
Step 4: Payment of Fees - In the next step, candidates had to pay the application fees of MHT CET 2020 in online mode through debit/credit card or internet banking.
Step 5: Print of Application Form - Finally, candidates are advised to take a print of the completely filled application form.

The authorities have released the MHT CET exam pattern along with the brochure. The exam will have multiple-choice questions which will be based on the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Also, 20% weightage will be given to the questions from Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to the questions from Class 12th syllabus while setting the paper. The authorities have already released the MHT CET mock test 2020 on February 13, 2020. Candidates will not be required to enter any login credentials, they will simply have to click on “Sign In” button to attempt the mock test.

The authorities will first release the provisional answer key of MHT CET 2020 online. Candidates will be able to download the answer key and response sheet by entering MHT CET registration Id and password. Candidates will also be required to submit documents in support of their objections. The authorities will release the final answer key of MHT CET 2020 after considering the objections if any.

The authorities will conduct the counselling of MHT CET 2020 in online mode. There will be three rounds of counselling and all the qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. MHT CET 2020 counselling include the following steps:
Registration - Firstly, candidates will have to register online by entering all the required details such as personal details, contact details, category details, and answering security questions.
Qualification & examination details - Candidates will also be required to enter the academic and qualification details such as class 10th and 12th details.
Uploading documents - In the next step, scanned photograph and signature according to the specifications have to be uploaded.

Payment of counselling fee - There is no counselling fee for MHT CET 2020 qualified candidates. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores must, however, pay the counselling fee. Also, it should be noted that the fees paid for MHT-CET shall be considered while payment of fees. If the candidate has paid Rs. 600 for MHT-CET and now is considered as OPEN, then the system shall ask for Rs. 200 difference. The difference is to be paid.

MHT CET 2020 Seat Allotment
After completing the counselling process, the authorities will conduct seat allotment through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in online mode in three rounds. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and choice filling done by the candidates. To check the allotted seat, candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. Finally, all the seat allotted candidates will have to download their allotment letter and report to the centre to select their preferred option (freeze, float or slide) for the seat allotted.

How many score pick to passed MHT-CET
The cut-off marks keeps changing depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of students appearing for it. Now, getting only the cut-off marks in MHT-CET won't help you to get good colleges. If you score atleast 90 or above out of 200 marks, you can expect some average colleges.
If you aim to get admission into good colleges, try getting atleast 120 or above.
