Agarwal Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya, Gangapur City Admission Process

Agarwal Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya, Gangapur City, being one of the foremost teacher training colleges in Rajasthan, has faculties strictly dedicated to teacher education with a focus on creating effective human resources skilled, trained, and competent educators.

The college follows the admissions procedure laid down by the Rajasthan state government and concerned university. As merit is the main basis for selection here: merit is determined by the qualifying exam marks and/or performance in entrance examinations-the college may have recourse to other processes of selection based on stipulations prescribed by the state government or Union Territory administration.

For the B.Ed, its flagship course, there is a sanctioned intake of 200 students; therefore, admission is competitive, given that seats are limited and many aspiring teachers want them.

Application Process

A structured admission process is followed by the institution ensuring that all admissions are conducted fairly and transparently. Below is a step-by-step description of the application process:

1. Notification: The college announces by an admission notification, made available through its official website and local media. The prospective students should constantly verify these sources.

2. Application Form: The candidate fills in and gets down to fill it out. It may be available online in the college web page or offline at the college counter.

3. Document Submission: The candidates, along with the application form filled out, must submit all other required documents, which generally consist of:

  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and Bachelor's degree for B.Ed applicants)
  • Valid ID proof
  • A few recent passport-size photographs
  • Any other certificates mentioned by the college or regulatory bodies

4. Entrance Examination: Depending on the course and present admission policy, applicants may have to undergo an entrance examination. The syllabus and pattern of this exam would be conveyed to the candidates by the college.

5. Preparation of Merit List: The merit list of the candidates will be prepared based on the performance in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. This merit list will serve as the basis for selection.

6. Counselling and Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are invited for a counselling session during which their original documents are verified. This is also the stage where candidates can choose their preferred course (in case of multiple course options).

7. Fee Payment: Candidates who are accepted to the program are required to pay the prescribed fee for confirming admission. The college administration will communicate details about the fee structure and payment procedure.

8. Orientation: An orientation program is usually conducted for the successful students to get acquainted with the college, its rules, and the course structure.
