Batch of 2017 | BE Computer Science and Engineering II Shift
The college is good in academics. There are many rules and regulations in this college like 75% of attendance is mandatory otherwise student is not allowed to give exams. The campus is also widely spread across acres of land. well developed lab, cafeteria, library. good campus placements are also provided.

This college is not for a normal person

Batch of 2018 | BE Computer Science and Engineering II Shift
Let me get this straight. I shall mention all the good and bad things about this college point wise. Good: - 70% of the faculty is pretty knowledgeable and helpful, you will receive all the support you require from them when it comes to studies. - It has a nice auditorium, where several workshops take place. - You have many opportunities related to your field. For example, if you're in Computer Science, you can join various programming events and so on. - Many workshops, external events, etc. - Well equipped library. Bad: - No sports. This college does not allow students to play. There is no sports period, not even once in a week. - No library period. Even though there is a huge library, there is no extra period for the library. You can borrow books, but you are not allowed to sit in the library and read. - Only lectures from 10 AM to 5 PM. No other activities. - A break of 1 hour from 12 PM to 1 PM, apart from that, NO other breaks. You are not even allowed to go to the canteen to buy snacks or water apart from that 1-hour break. If you do, your ID is taken away. - A shameless security staff. They will talk trash to you, even if you made a minor mistake. They treat you like you don't amount to anything. Not caring whether you're a guy or girl. They publicly humiliate students for minor reasons, and if a student says anything back, they invite more security staff and humiliate you together. - No sports opportunities. Are you good at football? Cricket? Basketball? Well, this college is not going to give you an opportunity to shine. You'll have to make your own external efforts for that. - 70% of the staff having a horrible attitude. They act too lazy to perform their duties and they'd rather make you walk an extra round than helping you out. - Lack of computers. The computer lab has broken chairs, students even fall sometimes. Many students have to sit together on single computers as most of the computers don't work. - Computers are old, slow, with windows XP in them. - You are required to do programming on a paper, as if letting students program on a computer is going to cost them. There are computer labs and then lectures on programming, and during the lectures, you are forced to do it on paper, which in my opinion, is not wise. - Power cuts are frequent, and the management does not even use a generator. Many students lose their work in the middle of it as a power cut occurs. - Classes are not well equipped. 3 out of 6 fans don't work so you're going to get tortured in the summer seasons. - The immature security team, so immature that they don't even know how to conduct a normal conversation. I've never heard them speak, only heard them scream at innocent students. (Imagine feeling very hungry at 4 PM, going to the canteen to get snacks and getting screamed at and humiliated in front of everyone.) - They'll take your phone away if they catch you doing anything that doesn't go well with their rules. - The HODs are extremely non-supportive. - You can't rely on anyone but your friends in this college. - The chairman will promise you many things at the time of admission but once you join the college, he'll ignore your requests. While inquiring two years ago, I was promised so much that I can't even express, and not a single promise was met. - Pathetic staff room locations. You'll never be able to find the professor/teacher you are looking for without wandering various times around the college. - No other talent except your field related will be encouraged. Basically, you're going to get sick of it all. You go to the college in the morning, and nothing except lectures take place. Students get fed up. No sports, no extra activities, just lectures, one after the other, without any breaks. This is not the right way to educate someone. Students are forced to sit in a class non-stop and listen to lecturers giving non-stop 1-hour lectures one by one, who don't even try to generate some interest in the minds of students. By the time the clock hits 5 PM, you're gonna be completely juiced out, drained and tired. However, if you believe whatever this college does is for your own good, feel free to join it.
