People used to up-down from even Ahmedabad so Baroda is quite easier.
But I suggest you should stay at Vidyanagar only. Those years would be among the best year of your life. You will miss many JLSA if you will prefer to stay
Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) is definitely under GTU, but understand the matter that BVM is been granted autonomy by GTU and hence the degrees are conferred under the name of GTU.
So you will get marksheet under the name of the GTU.
