So as per your question
Let me clear Your basic doubts
You can do B. Sc Agriculture (Hons.) in any SAU or CAU Which is accredited by the ICAR
in case you got admitted in your own state The SCHOLARSHIP which is 3000/- rs per month Named as National Talent Scholarship (NTS) Than your are not eligible for this
You can apply only one scholarship at a time if you are in other state
Admission in your own state is more economical than other state
You have to pay gen. Fee in other states..

The Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) is located in the town of Pollachi, which lies in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. The institute covers an area worth twenty- nine acres of land. It was founded in the year 1998. The MCET has been affiliated to the Chennai- based Anna University. This affiliation ensures approval from the UGC (University Grants Commission). Several of the tech- based courses are also approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). In addition, the MCET has been accredited by both the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and the NAAC (National Assessments and Accreditation Council), earning an A grade rating in the latter. A separate IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) has been created to this end, to ensure that all the terms of the NAAC are complied with. An AQAR (Annual Quality Assurance Report) gets generated to quantify the results.
The college is named after Dr. N. Mahalingam, who was a noted educationist. The foundation day of the college in fact coincides with his seventy- fifth birthday. Courses are offered, here at the MCET right from the UG till doctoral levels. At the undergrad level, the B.E. programme is on offer for the engineering areas of- Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Production, Electronics & Instrumentation and for Electrical & Electronics. There is also here, the B. Tech on Information Technology (IT).
At the master’s level, the courses get more technical. So, the M. E. programmes are available for the areas of- Computer Science, Structural Engineering, Communication Systems, Applied Electronics and for CAD/ CAM (Computer Aided Design/ Manufacturing). In addition, there is also an MCA on offer here. The MCET also provides options for doctoral level studies. Admissions to the various programmes is via the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) paper. There are, also some value- added courses run here at the MCET in collaboration with industry leaders. Accel runs the Embedded Design Centre, while US tech- giant Cisco runs its own academy on campus, to train the new talent.
The institute has also been extremely proactive at forging ties with international educational institutions. This helps the MCET towards research collaboration, consulting assignments and for exchange programmes. Two such collaborators are the University of Manitoba in Canada and the Northumbria University in the UK. The MCET is also a signatory to the Suryamitra programme with the MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy), developed by the NISE (National Institute of Solar Energy). As part of the IIT Bombay’s mission to promote excellence, the Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology in Tamil Nadu is a designated Remote Center. IIT B thus coordinates several research conferences and outreach programmes. A newsletter is published on campus titled the Crusader.
This college has also always believed in providing benefits to the broader society. The students here have likewise been instilled with such value. And that is why the students here have been active participants in government schemes such as the NSS (National Service Scheme) and the NCC (National Cadet Corps). Another area of much importance to the institute is entrepreneurship. This is why the CIBIE (Centre for Innovation, Business Incubation and Entrepreneurship) has been set up here. It is akin to the entrepreneurship development cells set up elsewhere. It helps develop the budding entrepreneurs among the students for the institute. Experienced trainers and entrepreneurs are invited to campus to deliver guest lectures and interact with those who have such business models.
Several Centres of Excellence (CoE) have been placed within the campus, to work on key research areas. Some of them are in collaboration with leading industry players. There is a Centre Design, Analysis and Testing (C- DAT), and a Centre for Advanced Training, the latter by TUV Rheinland. Bosch, Harita Techserv, ASIC and Alatair too have developed likewise. German tech giant Siemens has helped curate the CoE on Design Manufacturing. Japanese automobile giant Mitsubishi has come up with the Centre for Factory Automation, while Janatics has one on Mechatronics and Automation.
The campus has much to offer. There are hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Banking facilities with ATM are available in the campus’s vicinity. There is a sports field where cricket and football may be played. Facilities are also there for indoor sports. A large auditorium is there to facilitate major events, at both intra and inter college level. Science laboratories have the latest of equipment. A health centre is also there to cater to medical emergencies. Hygienic food is prepared at the college cafeteria. The college even has its own transport to ferry students to and from the campus. A departmental store is also located within campus.
The library here is one of the best stocked within the region. Besides the physical books on display, it also provides digital access to en number of international academic journals for research and academic purposes. Campus placements have picked up in recent years. Some of the key recruiters in the recent seasons have been the likes of- Asahi, Accel, Amazon, FSS, Cognizant, Decathlon, Infosys, HP, Jockey, AMW, L&T Infratech, TVS, Renault, URC, Bosch, Educomp, Intel, Aon Hewitt, HCL, Tech Mahindra, NTT Data, Accenture, John Deere, Essar Steel, BGR Energy, Quest and the AIG besides others.
