Dr Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) is a private educational institution situated in Pollachi, Coimbatore District. Dr Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. courses in engineering. The college also offers MCA programme. To get admission to B.E and B.Tech courses offered by MCET, students need to appear for the state level counselling - Tamilnadu Engineering Admission (TNEA), conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu. There is no entrance test for TNEA counselling and the merit list will be prepared based on the candidates score at 12 class, choice filling, choice locking and document verification. Admission to M.E and MCA is based on the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). To get an admission to Ph.D, candidates have to follow the guidelines of the Anna University.

Students need to appear for Tamilnadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) based on their qualifying examination marks.

Yes , you can get college at this mark at 41 marks in EAMCET as you have better numbers in IPE . You know you can't go to government colleges. But you can try in private colleges they will provide you in Admission. If you don't get in first two list of colleges don't worry colleges often reduces their cutoff in third list and also some colleges have special list through quotas .

Based on your marks you may get rank between 75,000 to 85,000. It may even vary if you got good marks in groups in IPE. you didn't mentioned your group marks in IPE to predict your exact percentile and your state to predict your college in TELANGANA or AP.

To get better college you should get rank below 5k. To get this rank you should get 80-90 marks out of 160 marks. Your WT will depends only on Maths, Physics, Chemistry. If you have good score in these subjects you will definitely get better college. Try even more and get around 100 marks in your eamcet test so that you may have even more better chances.

What exam are you talking about EAMCET or MH CET? Both the examinations are different,
Engineering, agriculture and Medical common entrance test which we call EAMCET in short. It's an entrance examination conducted in Andra Pradesh as well as in Telangana for admission in various colleges for courses like engineering, agriculture and medicine. In Telangana this examination is conducted by JNTU Hyderabad and this test is online examination which is computer based test.
Maharashtra common entrance test which is known as MHCET, the Examination is conducted in Maharashtra for engineering and pharmacy course. This examination is even online examination which is conducted once in year.
sir instead of applying for kcet i have mistakenly applied for Maharastra cet mht-cet but i stay in Karnataka can i change it from mcet to kcet?
kcet and mhcet are completely different state level examination so you maynot be provided with option to change.please do apply back for kcet instead.
