Dr Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi offers admissions into UG, PG and doctoral programmes. MCET admissions are offered for B.E/B.Tech, ME, MCA and PhD courses. BE Computer Science and Engineering, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech Information Technology and many others are offered for MCET admissions. The duration of the BE/B.Tech courses are four years. Candidates with B.E/B.Tech degrees obtained through Distance/Weekend mode programmes are not eligible.

Students who meet the MCET admission requirements can apply online.
Candidates applying for the courses are required to meet the MCET admission eligibility criteria and appear for the TNEA counselling process.
The TNEA will publish the college details and instructions to candidates on the MCET admission website.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai, will collect the details of the MCET Pollachi seats from the college, based on 65% for Government Quota and 35% for Management Quota, as per norms.
Allotment orders will be issued to the candidates of the selected colleges.
Based on the allotment order, candidates are admitted to the college.
After verification of all original certificates, the DOTE office will issue the approval order for the MCET admission of the students to the institution.

ME with specialisations and MCA are the two different PG programmes that are offered for MCET admissions. The Secretary of Tamil Nadu Common Admission, Anna University, Chennai will call for college details for the preparation of the Admission booklet and updation of the admission Website of Anna University, Chennai. Candidates admitted through lateral entry in degree courses are not eligible except for M.C.A. degree courses.

Applicants should meet the MCET admission selection criteria before applying.
The TANCA will publish the college details and instructions to candidates on the university website.
Students are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam.
The selected candidates are called for TANCA counselling.
The Secretary of Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) Anna University, Chennai, will fix the date for MCET Pollachi counselling and the counselling schedule will be announced.
During the TANCA counselling, the candidates selects the courses and colleges of their choice.
Based on the allotment order of MCET Pollachi seats, candidates are admitted to the college.
At the time of MCET admission, all original certificates are collected at the college and these are submitted to the Director of Technical Education office (DOTE), Chennai for verification.
After verification of all original certificates, the DOTE office will issue the approval order for the MCET admission of the students to the institution.

Semester exams are easy only, and any student can score 70%. The pass percentage is 40%. Maximum all students will feel easy to write exams.
We have supportive and competent faculty. The course curriculum is continuously updated with the help of industry experts as per the industry requirements. The difficulty of the semester exams is normal and 85% of the students manage to pass the first attempt. In our college there where many centers of excellence from there students can boost up knowledge and get hands-on with industry equipment and approach.
Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders, and all the staff are well-talented, well-trained, and qualified enough. The teaching quality is high in standard. The course curriculum is up-to-date, and all the courses are industry-oriented. The internal and external exams are quite easy for students; they are not very complicated.
