MCET Pollachi Facilities

The Dr Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) has the facilities of the library, hostel for boys and girls, canteen, mess, and health care. The college also provides facilities of sports and gym to promote physical and extracurricular activities among students. The clubs, cells, and societies of the college empower students in various academic as well as extracurricular activities:

Hostel: The college has well-furnished hostels for boys & girls. The hostels are well furnished, airy and have 24 hours power backup and an RO Plant for safe drinking water.

Laboratory: MCET has Computer Laboratory, Civil Laboratory, Electronics Laboratory, Electrical Laboratory and Mechanical Laboratory.

Library: MCET’s library has a well-managed library system to enrich the student’s community with a wide range of academic resources such as books, periodicals, online periodicals, databases, back volumes, CDs/DVDs, project reports, audio/video cassettes, and question bank. The library has the facility of NPTEL, EDUSAT, and DELNET.

Computer Centre: The centre is equipped with the latest instruments, computers, servers, as well as most modern software required to instruct the students and carry out prescribed practical hours to complement classroom learning. The resources and facilities of all the MCET’s labs benefit the excellent reputation and standards.

Sports: The college has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Indoor games like carrom, table tennis, chess are available in the college. The college has a well-furnished football field and cricket fields. It also has a hockey field, handball, volleyball and badminton court.

GYM: The college has well-equipped gym facilities for the healthy lifestyle of the students.

Cafeteria: The canteen has a dining facility and serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine, soft drinks, fresh juices, snacks are light snacks. The college has a well-planned canteen that functions inside the campus to cater to quality food and soft beverages for the students and staff.

Transport: The college has a transport facility. The college is situated in NH209 Madurai Mysore National Highway. It has bus facilities round the clock. Moreover, college buses are operated from the campus to Pollachi, Coimbatore and to Udumalpet on all working days.

Medical Facilities: The college has medical facilities. A medical Doctor attends the sick students every day.

Post office: A post office is functioning within the campus with its working hours between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm.

Bank and ATM: The college has the facility of Bank and ATM.

Boys Hostel
A well furnished hostel is available for men separately. It can accommodate 1410 students. Single, double and multi member rooms are available in the hostel. The rooms are well furnished and facilities like fan, tube light, cupboard etc., are provided for the comfortable living to the residents. Vegetarian food, on dividing basis is made available in the mess with modern kitchen and furnished dining hall. Facilities like Internet browsing, Library and Reading room, Medical Facilities, Laundry, Hair Dressing facilities, Inbuilt Canteen, Xerox Centre etc. are available for the convenience of the students staying in the hostel. The Hostel administration is carried out by the Warden with the assistance of a Deputy Warden. Resident proctors are available for guidance and counseling to the students.
Girls Hostel
A well furnished hostel is available for women separately. It can accommodate 714 women students. Single, double and multi member rooms are available in the hostel. The rooms are well furnished and facilities like fan, tube light, cupboard etc., are provided for the comfortable living to the residents. The Central Library has the good collection of books, journals, CDs and DVDs covering various branches of Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities and other related fields. It is fully air-conditioned and automated. It contains Lending Section, Reference Section, Journal Section, Gratis Section and Gandhi Study Centre. The transactions are carried out using Barcode Technology. It has memberships with Delnet, IETE, and ISOI for resource sharing.

Hello,

At this stage it is quite difficult to predict the rank with the given some as the rank depends on various factors such as normalisation of marks, highest score in the exam, total number of candidates appeared etc. If it is TS EAMCET then marks scored in qualifying examination that is Intermediate second year will given 25% weightage and 75% weightage is given for marks scored in TS EAMCET. In case of AP EAPCET there is no weightage given for marks scored in qualifying examination.

With the given score your rank is expected to vary in between 40,000-50,000. Do note that this is only the estimated rank. The actual rank is going to vary based on the factors mentioned above.
