Arts (including Honours Programmes): For BA programmes, various Honours courses like English Literature, Geography, Home Science, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Economics, Education, History, Music, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, and Public Administration admission is based on merit. For Arts stream students, the minimum eligibility is 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
For Commerce, the minimum eligibility is 45% marks in the qualifying examination (for Honours programmes).
BCA: Admission to the BCA Programme is given based on the academic merit of students at the 10+2 level.
For M.Sc Programmes (Home Science, Zoology)- M.Sc. programmes are in Home Science and Zoology. The Government Women's College admission procedure for these programmes is based on the performance of the candidate in the undergraduate examination. M.Sc. in Home Science has an approved strength of 18 seats, while M.Sc. in Zoology has 30 seats.
