There is admission solely on merit for the courses and seats are available according to each specialisation's vacancy. The sanction strength for general B.A. is 270 seats.
Government Degree College, Udhampur has various B.Sc. programmes such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Non-Medical), Botany, Zoology and Chemistry (Medical), and Botany, Zoology and Sericulture (Medical). Admission is based on merit and subject to availability of seats. Sanctioned strength in the Non-Medical stream is 180 and in the Medical stream is 120.
The college has a B.Com course of an approved strength of 80 seats. Admission is merit-based, and candidates who do not make the fee payment within the notified time period may lose their right to admission.
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) courses are also offered at the college with sanctioned intakes of 35 and 30 seats respectively. Admission to these professional courses is also based on merit.
