International Management Institute (IMI), Kolkata was India's first corporate-sponsored business school. The IMI Kolkata campus was founded by the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. The IMI Kolkata has collaborated with business schools/universities in North America, Europe and Asia. IMI Kolkata campus is centrally located in the city and equipped with infrastructural, academic and residential facilities.
The IMI Kolkata founded by RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group was established in the year 2010. According to the NIRF 2024 India rankings, IMI Kolkata has been placed 56th in the management category. International Management Institute (IMI), Kolkata offers scholarships to meritorious students. All students whose total family income is less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum will be eligible for IMI Kolkata scholarship under the Economically Weaker Section. The applications for tuition fee waiver under the Economically Weaker Section will be invited from the students after they have been admitted into the programme. Candidates who are desirous of claiming the tuition waiver should apply to the admissions office before the due date and submit documents such as copy of the income tax returns, PAN number, certificate issued by competent authority appointed by the appropriate government.
All applications for tuition fee waiver (under the economically weaker section) will be collected and processed at one time for all such applicants. The Scholarships for Economically Weaker Section at IMI Kolkata will be offered up to 5% seats of the total intake of the institute.

Nestled in a bustling city, IMI Kolkata boasts excellent facilities ensuring a well rounded and enjoyable student friendly environment. A well equipped library, one veg and one non veg mess with canteen, basketball and volleyball court, centralized AC classrooms and hostel, an auditorium and the picturesque main building. WIFI is provided 24/7 and hostel facilities are great overall. The campus is well maintained and kept clean and up to mark.

The B-School is equipped with all modern facilities, including modern classrooms, modern auditorium, and all other amenities. The hostel, which is adjacent to the B-School and inside campus, has different wings for girls and boys, with different room types so that students can choose their preference. The hostel follows strict rules and regulations to maintain security and to prevent mishaps. A doctor is also available in the campus, anyone can visit him without paying fees. Phycologists are also available to care for student's mental health.

IMI Kolkata is pretty average college. For IMI only the Delhi campus is good and the Bhubaneshwar campuse is a little decent. The PGDM program consists of courses like Marketing, Finance and Human resources management. The fees for the PGDM program in IMI Kolkata is 12.4 lakhs but the placements are not up to the mark. Companies like ICICI Prudential, HDFC Life insurance, Jaro Education, Ujjivan and some other startups visit the campus but the job roles offered are mostly for sales. For Human Resources Management most of the companies like TCS, Arohan Financial Services and others conduct pool campusing. The average compensation package offered there is 5-6 lakhs. So if you have limited options with you in terms of colleges or you want to pursue marketing management then this college won't be a bad option. But they do have good alumni base which can help you in future growth.
