The college provides separate hostels for boys with all the facilities with 30 seats, The hostels are under the supervision of Hostel Superintendents.

The College library has a rich collection of books (both textbooks and references), periodicals, newspapers, e-resources, and other non-book materials to cater to the information needs of the academic community of the institution. Apart from print resources, the library facilitates access to e-resources for users through an annual subscription to the National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for scholarly content (N-LIST). Moreover, students are encouraged to make optimum use of the e-resources available through platforms like the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), SWAYAM, Shodh Ganga, YouTube channels of UGC-CEC, Vidya-Mitra, NPTEL, IGNOUSOSS, etc. The library is automated with the SOUL 2.0 software developed by the INFLIBNET center. The process of setting up a digital library through DSpace software is ongoing.
The college has 21st-century demands for a well-equipped computer lab, and to stand ahead in this competition, we have a well-equipped computer lab to help students learn & work with software programs, adopt digital skills, and complete assignments. The college computer lab is Wi-Fi enabled so students and teachers can gather the required data easily and stand out. All the students are provided with practical knowledge through the teachings of accounting practices of business houses and e-filing of income tax to engage themselves after completing the course.
The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.
Keeping in view the fitness aspects of the whole community of the college, there is a well-equipped gymnasium set up on the college premises in the year 2015. The gym has several modern pieces of equipment. Since its inception, the gym has gained immense popularity among the student community in particular and the whole college community in general. Users may avail the facility of its different equipment under the proper care and guidance of a physical instructor. The gym is conducted under the Sports Board of the college.
The college has an auditorium that was established on the college premises with funding from a respected MP, Late Bijoy Krishna Handique, in the memory of late Tarun Chandra Barua. The College has an auditorium equipped with all the vital facilities as well as enough space to accommodate large gatherings on special occasions. It has a sitting capacity for around 500 people. The college auditorium conducts all the important public meetings, functions, seminars, and workshops.
The college has a canteen facility within the college premises. Keeping in view the health and diet of the students as well as the teachers, the canteen provides freshly cooked meals and snacks to students and teachers at subsidized rates.
The college has alumni who have some vital roles in the prosperity and development of a higher educational institution. They are always the best ambassador of an institute, and their monitoring and guidance can be of immense help for the present students. Therefore, it is very important to develop a continuous relationship with the alumni and to strengthen this relationship to improve an academic institution. Alumni can take various effective measures in an institution by providing mentoring, internship opportunities to newcomers, career opportunities, interaction programs, workplace opportunities for outgoing students, etc. Moreover, as education is a lifelong process, alumni can create a good relationship with their institution for the development of a favorable academic atmosphere. Alumni can also determine the activities through which they can provide intellectual, physical, and financial support to their Alma maters.
The college has sports that are pivotal in shaping one’s personality and maintaining good health. Keeping their view, the college develops a sports environment among the students. There are many sports facilities to keep our students engaged and physically fit.
The College's Classroom is the heart of online degree programs. There are four (4) virtual classrooms in the College. These rooms are plays for open discussion and active learning. Learning through virtual mode helps the students become independent learners before they enter the real world. Students get opportunities to explore new learning applications and platforms during the class, which helps them to develop new skills and capabilities, accelerating their growth tracks.
The college has to promote the concept of green life. A GREEN CLUB was established on Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College campus under the Chairmanship of Jibamani Nath and with the Joint Secretary viz., Rituraj Borkakaty and Dr. Pallavi Saikia in the year of 2019. The club tries to promote eco-friendly green life on and off the college campus.
The NSS Unit of the college was formed with 100 volunteers, and Kriti Chandra Dutta, Senior Lecturer, Department of Commerce, was appointed as the first program officer of the Unit. Under the leadership of the programme officer, many activities, such as plantation, cleaning programme, road development in rural areas, and construction of temporary school walls, were executed in nearby areas of the college. In 1983, Mr Bireswar Neog, Senior Lecturer, Department of Economics, was appointed as Programme Officer of the Unit of the College. Under his leadership, the Unit was involved in various social activities in Khonamukh, Vitorial Gaon, Ouguri, Jhanjimuk, etc., in Sivasagar and Jorhat, Assam districts. After the completion of his tenure, Mr Bichitra Kr. Dutta, Senior Lecturer, Department of Commerce, was appointed as Programme Officer. Under his leadership, a number of activities have been conducted in the surrounding areas like Khonamukh, Charing, Bolomia Gaon, etc.
With the responsibility as Officer-in-charge, Mrs ManurimaBhagawati, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, restarted the NCC Wing of 49 Assam Naval Unit in the year 2005. During the initial phase, only female students were allowed to join the NCC Unit of the College. Prof. Bhagawati left the office as Officer-in-charge in the year 2012 by handing over the charge to Mr Basanta Handique, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science. In the year 2013, Mr Upen Chandra Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Assames, took over the charge as Care Taker Officer (CTO) and made it possible for the boys students to join the college NCC Wing. With that effort to admit the boys as Cadets, the NCC Unit, 1/3 of the total seats have been reserved for SD (Boys) under the care of the Commanding Officer (CO) of 49 Assam Naval Unit, Sivasagar Zone. At present, Mr Rabisankar Gogoi, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, is currently serving as Care Taker Officer (CTO) of the NCC College Wing.
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
