A mini-auditorium is available near the workshop building for academic or nonacademic activities of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam was established in 1991 under the Government of Kerala. The Institute is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam University, Thiruvananthapuram. ISTE- Indian Society for Technical Education has been developed by Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam for the overall development of students and teachers. IEEE- Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers of RIT Kottayam has been formed to meet the standards of the advancing technology. IEEE is a platform where students get to know and learn about engineering, computing, and technology information. IEEE also collaborates with various institutes and universities for the development of students in science, math, engineering, and technology.
IEEE RIT Computer Society- IEEE RIT Computer Society is the first computer society formed under IEEE Kerala which has been formed in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India where students get the platform to know about the technologies and developments related to Computer Science.
IEEE Industry Applications Society (IES)- IEEE Industry Applications Society (IES) has been formed in association with the Electrical Engineering department which has been entrusted with the task of organising many academic and technical events inside the RIT Kottayam.
The RIT Alumni Association (RITAAN)- The RIT Alumni Association has been formed to encourage and provide guidance to the students regarding choosing the right career path through various activities and events. National Service Scheme (NSS)- National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Youth Programme which is established under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
