I'm a second-year engineering student here at SJCE, and I've been through enough to have some real thoughts on this campus. It's not all doom and gloom, but honestly, there are some frustrations that make me question if it's worth it sometimes. Half the time, the AC in classrooms is busted during peak summer. Overall the infrastructure is not too good.
A lot of lectures feel rushed or outdated; we're using slides from like 2015 when tech moves so fast. And the way things are taught? It's mostly rote learning—memorize for exams, no real emphasis on practical skills or innovation.
Not enough big names show up—think no Google or Microsoft vibes—and the process is chaotic: last-minute changes, favoritism rumors, and they prioritize certain branches over others. For someone like me in CS, it's okay, but if you're in a less "hot" field, good luck.
Socially, it's isolating - events are rare, and the canteen food is bland and overpriced, so we end up ordering in. I've made a few friends through them, but the vibe is so regulated that it kills any fun.
As a student here, I absolutely loved the spacious campus, it's like a breath of fresh air! Classrooms are modern, labs are super well-equipped for hands-on work, and the digital library plus sports facilities kept me productive and active. No complaints!
My time in academics was top-notch and the curriculum's comprehensive, covering everything from theory to real-world apps. Faculty are experienced pros who guide like mentors, and the research opps with practical exposure made learning exciting and relevant. Highly recommend!
The placement cell was a game-changer, they trained us rigorously, hosted workshops, and brought in big-name companies. I landed a great job with a solid salary package right after graduation. Their support made the process smooth and successful!
At first, I thought joining a strict college would mean no chance to enjoy, but it turned out to be completely different. Cultural programs, events, and celebrations were full of fun, and at the same time, I actively took part in placements, hackathons, and competitions. I also had unforgettable moments with friends—bunking classes, going out, and creating memories together. But as everything came to an end, I realized that until December I would truly miss my friends, faculty, and juniors a lot.
I am engineering student from IT department 2nd year in St Joseph's College of Engineering. I'll break it down by the main stuff infra, the roads inside campus are pothole central - tripping hazard every rainy day. They've promised upgrades for years, but it's the same old story. It's functional, but it feels like they're cutting corners instead of investing properly.
I've had to supplement with online courses just to stay competitive, not just some boring theory, period. This focus is why I like IT here, they keep it. We need better teaching methods, like more hands-on workshops or industry tie-ups, because right now, it feels like we're just scraping by without building actual expertise.
Placements are decent for entry-level, but don't expect miracles without your own hustle. The soft skills training is helpful also, like, I did not realize how important communication is. It’s giving success, and the supportive IT department staffs help us network.
Overall, if you're dead set on engineering and can push through the rough patches, this place gets the job done. But yeah, it could be so much better with some real changes. If anyone's considering it, hit me up for more deets. I'm just sharing my honest experience after one-plus years here.
In Chengalpattu Government Medical College, I am 2nd year medical student. In my point of view, the infrastructure is good. They have a very developed lab structure and hospital are very specialised in structure. Classroom are neat and clean. It helps us to learn practical very well.
The academic is really good. The lesson teaching staffs are proffesors who completed MBBS MD. They provide good education and clear all doubts. We learn a lot from their experience and focus on real-life cases.
Placements are not pretty good. We have to search work outside college. Some opportunities comes from external sources, but the college could arrange more hospital visits. Still, the training helps in finding jobs later.
Overall campus life is good. Friends are supportive, and we do group studies most of the time. Sometimes we go outside for fun or small events. The environment is calm but focused on learning.
Coming to infrastructure, our department has nearly 7 to 8 labs with good Wi-Fi connectivity. Computers are very fast. Lab attendants are very helpful. Hostel is okay but quite expensive as how hostel food is. Canteen is okay and good for basic needs.
Academic is really great. Faculty members are supportive and encouraging. Portions are quite outdated very basic it do not make us industry ready. There is a huge gap between what we study and what the industry needs. 1st year is easy, 2nd and 3rd years are difficult because many new subjects are there, 4th internship and projects
Less than 25% of the students got placed with salaries ranging from low to average. Many are training like they will train us for 4 to 5 months then placement drive. Most of the students got internships (startup companies). Few went to training centers and were told that as an internship.
The college infrastructure is below average with outdated classrooms and old buildings, the benches of classrooms are also not good and class dont feel specious when full strength is present. Hence there is a big room for improvement.
The academics here feel quite disappointing with a lack of structured guidance, minimal practical exposure, and teaching that doesn’t always meet expectations. Hence students have to rely more on them selves
Placements are quite limited with only a few companies visiting and offering mostly average salaries. Opportunities are not consistent and students often have to rely on off campus drives for better prospects.
Campus life is dull and unengaging with very few cultural or extracurricular activities and limited students interaction. The environment feels restrictive leaving little scope for personal growth or enjoyment outside academics.
APSU infrastructure is very poor, lack very basic amenities such as bathrooms. Not enough watercoolers don’t have working fans and don’t have spatial windows which creates humidity that is infrastructure of Apsu
Poor academic professors are not helpful and don’t come on time also syllabus aren’t completed on time practical info is also not taught this is not according to new nep and not acceptable protest regarding this also occurred
University. Which. Don’t have. Basic amenities and poor academics. Plus in addition. To always. Surrounded. By poor. Politics and. Protest you. Can imagine what is placements and packaging it offers to students
It has poor campus life and low etiquette’s of campus life and students has there because no sense of discipline and no rule of conduct has there and cornering of every new student has there except of student belong to any teacher
I don’t like it and I have expressed my views above every aspect that is asked
The infrastructure truly stands out, blending functionality with comfort, smart classrooms, high speed Wi-Fi, vibrant studies zones and green open space makes the campus feel less like an institution and more like a place where learning and living go ahead in hand.
Academics are decent, but not outstanding while the curriculum covers the basics and some faculty members are supportive. The teaching quality and practical exposure remain inconsistent living room for improvement.
Placements are quite strong with a good number of reputed companies visiting the campus and offering decent packages. Most students managed to secure role through the highest opportunities are geared toward top performers.
Campus life is vibrant and engaging in this college. College organise many events, fest and culture programmes to engage students. College also conduct group activities where students can socialise themselves.
College infrastructure is basic in this college like the road connecting to the administrative building is not in good condition and need to be repaired, and the overall building of this college is quite old and need to be renovated.
Academics in this college is below average because the faculty members are not much supportive and helpful to students. Sometimes they don’t even come to classes to take lectures. Hence students have to rely on themselves for study.
Placement in this college is very weak because of low tie ups and connections from top companies which results in students get low paying job after completing the graduation or even depend on themselves to get better job.
Campus life is fairly average, offering a moderate range of clubs, events and activities. While there are opportunities for social interaction and personal growth participation can feel limited but overall environment feels good.

College placement is good. Colleges is helpful. Most of the student goes for the higher and above studies. And most of the student peering for the government exams. Although , Some student get job through college placement which is also good.
The campus infrastructure feels under whelming with limited facilities, outdated classrooms, and inconsistent maintenance, making it hard to match the needs of students. Which affects the overall experience.
The academic experience leaves much to be desired with limited focus on practical learning and overdependence on theory. Many lectures feel repetitive and outdated, making it difficult for students to feel academically enriched.
The placement opportunities are quite limited with only a number of companies visiting the campus and offering average or below average packages to students, a placement cell tries to help but the overall network and exposure to reputed companies is less.
Campus life is quite dull with very few engaging activities or events to keep students involved. The lack of vibrant clubs, culture and recreational space makes the overall environment monotonous. This limits the scope for bonding.
The collage infrastructure is good enough. The collage have a large ground which are enough for fest and all. The collage have a large library and classroom which have air conditioner in it which makes studies more comfortable

The infrastructure of this college is very poor with outdated classrooms in adequate labs and poorly maintain facilities that make the overall environment for students uncomfortable and unhelpful for learning.

Campus life is extremely dull and uninspiring with very few extra curricular activities, clubs or events to engage students. Most students spend their time just attending classes as their is little scope for socialising, creativity, or relaxation.
My college has a decent infrastructure with all the required facilities like classroom, library, labs, sports ground, and hostels. The Wi-Fi facility is provided but works only sometimes, and maintenance could be improved. Hostels are clean but food needs better hygiene.
I am pursuing my B. Tech final year here as the college is NAAC A+ accredited. The quality of teaching is good and most faculty members are supportive. The curriculum is regularly updated so what I am learning now is relavent and helps me in being job-ready.
Placement opportunities are limited.Only a small percentage of students get placed, though for CSE, the highest package went up to 12LPA.The average package is 3-4 LPA.The process feels tough, but the college staff guide us throughout.
My college campus Life is enjoyable with friends, fests, and activities happen often, which create good memories. But classrooms and labs are not always well maintained. Some computers do not function properly. My college location is at kondagattu nachupally and it is peaceful and safe, though very isolated.
I would not strongly recommend joining here. Despite, good academics the location is remote with monkeys around due to kondagattu temple and no nearby shops and strict hostel rules restricting outings.
