The infrastructure is average and furnished.Tables and chairs are of average quality.No cooler or A.C. facility during summer.Labs are well equipped. There are four big halls with great seating capacity and for the program's venue.

The teaching quality is a bit subjective.Some teachers are egoistic and some are helpful.Major time of our semester goes in completing assignment and lab manual.Re-examination facility is provided as it is an autonomous college which is a big advantage for poor students.This is not provided in other colleges.

Placements are very good especially in the Fire tech branch. The placement percentage is around 90% and even100% for girls.If you come in FT branch you will get placed in maximum cases.Placement cells in getting maximum students placed.

The college campus has a beautiful old school Heritage look with a lots of green Gardens trees and mini plants. The classrooms are very large clean and well ventilated . Though they do not have AC which makes summers a bit hot .

The academic environment is quite strong and it is disciplined. However the college is very strict about their routine you have to maintain a minimum of 75 percentage attendance to sit for your semester exams.

Starting with the class infrastructure the seats are limited, rooms are big but they don't have proper seating arrangements for the number of students to be hold in that class, centralized ACs are there only in staffroom and libraries but classroom ACs don't work properly, it has proper equipments for agriculture department and btech classes. There are two libraries and they are spacious. Computers used are really good for Saap classes. Hostels are good according to price range nowadays and they are well maintained due to daily checks, WiFi connection is good. The message area is clean and hygiene is maintained by the message staff. Hostel rooma are cleaned regularly overall we get good facilities but it can be much better.

Right now I am a management student studying integrated BBA MBA. The quality of teaching is good. Yes, as DBS turned into university so it's curriculum has overall changed and updated and it includes all the recent developments. Management itself is needed in every organisation with hands on experience from my college and with proper skills and courses that are tought, makes you job ready for that field.
Placements
Being a CDC student mentor, the quality of placements that I see daily isn't that good enough for MBA students the avg package is around 3-4 LPA which is really very low. Around 75-80% students were placed, some were placed in very good companies, but the overall package provided is low. The highest package till now was offered to a MBA student who was studying marketing and business analytics, he got around 24 LPA . The placement process is easy but after placements taking the NOCs are not because it becomes hectic for a student although college is supportive enough to complete the whole process in the stipulated time.
Campus Life
Campus Life is great though it has a small campus but still students like it because we have so many other options to travel to near by places. There are also jamming sessions, many activities take place, all the festivals are celebrated beautifully. Every year we celebrate brand aid where each department create brands and sell them to the customers the highest revenue that any department can generate is the winner. So we enjoy those 1½ months of preparation and everything. We have fest. Student, teachers and support staff are really very helpful be it out seniors or juniors other than that people are genuinely good. The location isn't that good enough for handling emergencies because it's far from hospitals but overall the campus Life is great.

The library is huge with plenty of books and strong WiFi, but it gets crowded during exams. Hostels are spacious with decent rooms, but washrooms and cleaning could be improved. Sports facilities and gym are good and get used a lot. Mess food is average and hygiene is okay but not perfect. Overall, facilities are there but they need better upkeep from the management side

I'm studying B.Tech Biotechnology. Teaching quality is mixed – some professors are really knowledgeable and explain concepts well, while others just read from PPTs and leave. The curriculum is fairly updated with topics like genetic engineering and bioinformatics, but practical hands-on experience is limited. We do projects and assignments that help a bit with job readiness, but you still need to chase internships yourself. It's good if you're serious about studying, otherwise it feels average
Placements
Placements at LPU are active but for Biotechnology the options are more limited compared to CSE or IT branches. Mass recruiters like Infosys and Wipro come, but core biotech companies are fewer. Highest package last year was around 10-12 LPA for a few students, average is 4-6 LPA. The placement process was smooth and the college does provide support, but competition is tough. I had to look off-campus for better opportunities. If you build strong skills, it helps a lot

Campus life is one of the best parts here. The campus is large and green with tons of events, fests, and clubs to join. Students are friendly from different states, teachers are approachable, and support staff is fine. Location in Phagwara is relatively safe, though the city is small. Medical facilities handle emergencies well. The worst part is the huge crowd sometimes and strict rules. Sports, gym, and hangout spots are good. You can enjoy college life if you manage time with studies

Placements are also in worst condition. Many of my seniors are not even placed. They are all unemployed and they are searching jobs from outside. They have lost all hope on this college. Very fer members got placed.
