ApplyNID Haryana was established in 2016 with the support of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It is an autonomous institute and offers Design Education and Research programmes. NID Haryana offers four-year full-time B.Des programmes including six months of design project work for industry/government, NGO sector. The institute also has national and international collaborations with institutes and organisations like IIT Roorkee, National Backward Classes Finance Development Corporation, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, MSME Technology Centre, Rohtak, etc.

NID Haryana facilities include boys hostel, girls hostel, library, sports, cafeteria, IT infrastructure and laboratories. The institute provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls students. The library provides numerous resources to help the students and faculty members in learning and research activities. NID Haryana facilities include a separate sports department. Fields and courts are also maintained especially for outdoor sports. The institute also has a well-ventilated cafeteria. Admissions at the institute are offered on the basis of scores of the entrance test, DAT. For NID Haryana admission, candidates first have to clear DAT Prelims. After that, shortlisted candidates have to clear DAT Mains. A final merit list list is released considering the scores of both the entrance test. Further, qualified candidates have to appear for NID DAT counselling, where seats are on the basis of merit list, category of the candidates and availability of seats. NID Haryana cutoff is the minimum percentage score required by the candidates for the B.Des programme admission. The institute releases the cutoff after the declaration of the result of DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. In order to meet the NID Haryana cutoff candidates have to qualify both the entrance test and secure minimum qualifying scores. The cutoff is released separately for different category candidates.
NID Haryana scholarships are Scholarship for Top Two Rank Holders, Merit cum Means Scholarship, Scholarship for the Topper of the Year of Each Discipline, Maximum Improvement Award. To avail the scholarship, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarship amount is awarded on fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and document verification.
1st Year Scholarship- This scholarship is awarded to the student securing the highest open rank in the NID Admission Exam for admission to the foundation batch. Students must secure rank 60 or above. Under this scheme, Rs. 50,000 is awarded.
Merit cum Means Scholarship Grant in 2nd Year- To avail the scholarship, students should have secured within top 25% ranks in the whole batch of foundation year. Rs. 30,000 is awarded under this scheme.
The institute has a placement cell. The NID Haryana placement cell helps in the placement of the final-year students. The cell provides all kinds of placement assistance like placement training, career counselling, etc to the students. For NID Haryana placement, recruiters are invited on the campus. NID Haryana grants scholarships to the meritorious and economically weaker students. National Institute of Design Haryana scholarship is disbursed to the students after the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and document verification. The institute disburses the scholarship in two equal installments after the deposition of each semester fees. NID Haryana scholarships are available for 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year students. Our college is under construction but hostels are done.We are currently in a transit campus.Basic facilities like labs ,library, sports and hostels are there but there is room for improvement .Food is decent.
The official main campus is still under construction. IT labs are well equipped and maintained, but access is limited to standard working hours. The workshop is usually well supplied with standard raw materials required for models, but lacks machines and some of the protective gear.
