University of Ladakh, Ladakh Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

University of Ladakh, a state university situated in Leh, Ladakh, India, is a coeducational institution recognized by the UGC and offering courses in a multitude of faculties. The entire process of admission into the university is focused on the selection of the deserving candidates for the many undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.

The admission procedure of the University of Ladakh is primarily based on merit, in which the assessment of merit is done based on marks obtained by the candidates of the previous qualifying examination. For some programs, an entrance examination or other selection processes may be conducted as per the policies of the State Government, Central Government, or UT Administration. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education program at the University of Ladakh has an approved intake of 50 seats. Admission is on merit considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination for any entrance examination whatsoever or any other selection process as per the government policy.

MA Programs: The university offers MA programs in Arabic, English, Sociology, Urdu, Buddhist Studies, Hindi, Economics, and Geography. Most of these programs have an approved intake of 35 students. Admission is made on a merit basis according to program/course preference.

M.Sc Programs: The University of Ladakh offers M.Sc programs in Geology, Forensic Science, Energy Science, Zoology, Chemistry, and Botany. The approved intake for most scientific programs is 30 students; the merit is like other postgraduate programs.

M.Com: The Master of Commerce program has an approved intake of 35 students. The admission process is following the standard procedures for postgraduate admission of the university.

MCA: The Master of Computer Applications program approves an enrollment of 25 students. Admission is based on merit and preference of the same programs.

Ph.D. Programs: Doctoral programs are held in different disciplines like Computer Science and Information Technology, Geology, Physical Education, and Political Science. Admission to the Ph.D. programs may thus involve testing and interviews.
