About VITMEE 2024

VITMEE 2024 - VIT University will conclude the VITMEE 2024 registration process on April 28, 2024. Candidates can find the link to fill the application form of VITMEE 2024 on the website, vit.ac.in. The VITMEE exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 5. The VITMEEE 2024 application process commenced on January 22, 2024. The registered candidates will be able to download the VITMEE 2024 admit card online. To prepare for the VITMEE exam candidates have to follow the VIT syllabus for MTech, MCA. Moreover, check the VITMEE exam pattern to understand the paper pattern.

Students who qualify for the VITMEE exam 2024 will be able to participate in the VITMEE 2024 counselling from May 15 to 17. Candidates will be able to choose their preferred campus during the VITMEE counselling 2024. The counselling of VITMEE comprises choice filling, seat allotment, and payment of fees. The authority will publish the VITMEE seat allotment result on May 27 on the website. Students allotted seats during the VITMEE counselling will have to report to the campus and make the payment.

About VITMEE

Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the VITMEE exam for admissions to M.Tech and MCA courses under various branches at VIT. Admission to various courses at VIT is based on the VITMEE examination.

Based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam, candidates are called for the VITMEE counselling process. The authorities will announce the VITMEE counselling dates on the official website in due time. Qualified and eligible candidates will have to separately register for the VITMEE counselling 2024 before the last date to be eligible for admission to various programmes at various campuses of VIT.

VITMEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

VIT has released the VITMEE 2024 eligibility criteria on the official website. The eligibility criteria of VITMEE 2024 comprise age, domicile, education qualification, and much more. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility conditions will be able to apply for VIT Mtech admission 2024. VITMEE Eligibility Criteria 2024

Nationality

  • Candidates should be of Indian nationality and must have graduated from any Institution in India. Or,
  • Foreign and PIO/ NRI candidates are also eligible to apply separately.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates shall have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% or first-grade in full-time graduation degree from any recognized Institute/ University.
  • Candidates have to make sure they graduated from a suitable degree programme for a particular M.Tech specialisation as prescribed.
  • Candidates in the final year of an undergraduate degree are also eligible for admission, provided the final semester/ year is completed before the commencement of the counselling process.
  • All the candidates are required to submit the provisional certificate letter and mark sheet of their final year before the prescribed date specified by the authorities.

How to fill VITMEE 2024 application form?

Candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the VITMEE application 2024:

  • VITMEE Registration - Firstly, candidates have to complete the initial registration at vit.ac.in with basic details like name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, and email ID. VITMEE 2024 user ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID once the registration is complete.

  • Application form - Next, candidates have to log in with the help of allotted credentials to the already registered candidate tab. To fill out the application form, candidates have to enter their details and upload a scanned photograph, signature, and various academic details as required.

  • Pay application fee - Lastly, candidates have to make a payment of the VITMEE 2024 application fee through credit/debit card/net banking/or DD.

VITMEE 2024 Exam Pattern

VIT mentions the VITMEE exam pattern in the official brochure. The authorities release separate exam patterns of VITMEE for MCA and M.Tech courses. As per the paper pattern, the exam will be conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT) for 2 hours. The detailed exam pattern has been provided below:

Candidates will be able to download the VITMEE 2024 admit card after completing the slot booking process. To download the admit card of VITMEE 2024 candidates will have to provide the login credentials such as application number and date of birth. VITMEE hall ticket will comprise of exam details, centre name, candidate details, and important instructions. Carry the hall ticket on the day of the VITMEE exam 2024. Candidates are advised to check the details mentioned in the VITMEE hall ticket and inform the authorities in case of any discrepancy.

Steps to download VITMEE Admit card 2024

  • Visit the official website of VITMEE - vit.ac.in
  • Click on the VITMEE 2024 admit card link.
  • Enter the application number and date of birth.
  • The admit card of VITMEE 2024 will appear on the screen.
  • Download the hall ticket and take a printout for future reference.

The authority will commence the VITMEE 2024 slot booking at the official website. Candidates who complete the registration process before the last date will be able to complete the VITMEE slot booking 2024. The slot booking process requires candidates to select the date and time of the exam as per their availability. VITMEE slot booking will be conducted on a first come first serve basis and seats are allotted as per availability. If the preferred test slot is not available at the test centre, they may try another or check for any other test centre. Candidates are advised to book a slot for VITMEE carefully as the authorities are unlikely to entertain any request for change in the already booked slot date and timing.

To check the result of VITMEE 2024, candidates have to enter their login credentials namely application number and password in the required field. The VITMEE result consists of various details like the rank secured and overall marks obtained in the exam, section-wise marks, personal details and more.

VITMEE 2024 Counselling

Mode of Counselling: Offline

VIT authorities will conduct the VITMEE 2024 counselling process for all the registered candidates. Those who will qualify the VIT MTech exam are eligible to participate in the VITMEE 2024 counselling and seat allotment process. The seat allotment will be based on VITMEE scores/ranks secured by the candidates. The authorities will inform the shortlisted candidates regarding the interview/counselling process via SMS and e-mail along with publishing on the official website.

Candidates have to make payment of the VITMEE counselling fee to participate in the counselling process. The counselling fee will be refunded in case of withdrawal of application by a candidate. The authorities will conduct the VITMEE seat allotment based on the number of candidates who applied, the total number of seats available and the previous year cutoff trends. Candidates who will be allotted seats have to report to the allotted centre along with original documents for verification.

There is no Management Quota in VIT . Admissions is purely based on the merit rank obtained in the VITEEE and for other Undergraduate programs, it is based on the merit of your XII/ Higher Secondary Boards by which you would be accordingly ranked.

Hello aspirant,

The cutoff rank depends on various factors and changes every year. But A few sources claim that in order to be considered for an Integrated M. Tech seat in software engineering under category 1 at the VIT Vellore campus, one may need to score between 3471 and 6722. A +2 (or its equivalent) student's total marks across all subjects should equal 55% in PCM.

Sir/maam, I get 1225 rank in vitmee 2019. Can I get MCA in VIT Vellore?

Hello Siddharth,

Congrats on getting 1225 rank in VITMEE 2019. Now if you see the cutoff ranks of VITMEE 2019 changes every year as it depends on the number of student appeared for the exam.

In 2017 cutoff was around 900-1000 . In 2018 cutoff was around 1100-1200 . And it might be something around 1300 rank in 2019.

So, there is a chance that you might get a seat in MCA.
